That's what my family says! We are Whitfields! So, like a good Whitfield, I went to see "This Christmas". I absolutely loved it! It is a "must see". The characters reminded me of my Grandma's house on Christmas. Go see it! The critics dogged it! Why do they do that to our movies? Was it Oscar worthy? I think so! Chris Brown acts as well as he sings! I, thoroughly, enjoyed it! KUDOS

The IAAF has asked Marion Jones to return her metals and $700,000 of prize money earned from September 2000 to present. The relay teams she ran with must also forfeit their medals. Jearl Miles-Clark, Monique Hennagan, Tasha Colander-Richardson and Andrea Anderson won golds as part of the 1,600-meter relay in Sydney. Chryste Gaines, Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry and Passion Richardson were on the 400-meter relay team. Marion Jones cannot participate in the Olympics or Olympic trials until she pays back the prize money. See what lying will do? Damn shame!

Shaq Shoots, Shaunie Scores!

Sources say, despite filing for divorce, Shaq and Shaunie O'Neal have been amicable about spending time with their children. They were spotted together at a WWE wrestling match, with the kids, recently. If the divorce goes through, Shaunie is already worth $30 million. The Palm Beach Post reported that an affidavit, filed in Miami-Dade County, Shaunie has the Star Island mansion worth $25 million, A home in Orlando worth $3.95 million and approximately $450,000 in cash and stocks. While I don't advocate divorce (giggles) Shaunie will be alright! Just stay away from the golddiggers! Hire a good looking poolboy and have fun!

Dr. Jan Adams was scheduled to talk to Larry King tonight. He didn't show for the first segment. After the commercial, Dr. Adams came out and told Larry King,"I had come here to talk about things in the press that aren't accurate about me. But I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family and they've asked me not to go on." With that said, he turned and left. Alan Tanenbaum, an attorney for Dr. Adams said that Dr. Adams had received a letter from the West family, asking that he not appear on the show. I can't blame Kanye! What happened to the H.I.P.P.A. act? You know those annoying papers you have to sign everywhere you go? He shouldn't say anything until the autopsy is complete.

Ne-Yo's said, "I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing, said Ne-Yo. His attorney said he is scheduled to be sentenced on December 10th but he turned himself in early so that whatever time he receives, he'll be released early. I understand his thinking! Besides, if he goes in early he doesn't have any bills to pay! Smart thinking!

Why????

Why are caucasians so obsessed with Soulja Boy and his dance? Ellen Degeneres, Jimmy Kimmel and random stars on MTV's TRL are jumping on the bandwagon and learning the dance. While I have muy respect for Soulja Boy for marketing himself and pushing his album up the charts, I'm really over the dance. Even Vibe magazine said, "Please let's not take this dance into 2008!" I agree! Yet, you know that "certain" people won't let go! They are still holding on to "You go girl" and "Bling-Bling"! I'm amazed that people who wouldn't want to live next door to us, want to dance and look like us. Go figure!

A Couple No More?

Mediatakeout.com is reporting that Jackie Long and Serena Williams are no longer a "couple". I'm not sure how true this is but I have seen Jackie Long at many parties lately, alone! I was just getting used to the couple. Anyhoo, they were friends before they became lovers, so there's no awkwardness. I heard that Serena was seen getting mighty cozy with Common at Venus' clothing line launch. That's even better!

American Stupid Awards!

Don't call it an award show! It was actually a hodgepodge of performances. My favorite performances were Alicia Keys (because she finally danced) and Chris Brown. I liked Rihanna and Ne-Yo too. I liked Rihanna because her dress was all that! Beyonce sang with a country group named Sugarland. Apparently they covered the song "Irreplaceable". They both sounded like cats being skinned! Kanye Breaksdown!

Kanye West showed up in Paris and brokedown during his performance. According to a Parisian journalist ,"He said the word, 'Mother' and just couldn't go any further," Le Parisien journalist Meddy Magloire said. "A back-up singer, the DJ and a guitar player came over to console him. It looked like he might collapse. He just couldn't continue. He just stood there in a spotlight, crying while the band continued playing." After 10-15 minutes Kanye took the stage again and sang "Stronger". He kept saying, "I need you right now!" He is scheduled to return to the States for Tuesday's funeral service in Oklahoma City. He will return to Europe on Thursday, to complete his tour. Note to Kanye: We are holding you in our prayers. Stay strong!
