Rumor has it that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are planning to buy the famed Saperstein Estate! This house is so lush that it is called "Fleur De Lys!" It is an expansive and expensive mansion with a price tag of $125 million. I thought the world was in a recession? Perhaps, it's just us! LOL I have provided a few pics for your enjoyment! I Usually Don't Do This But.....

Actress Natasha Richardson passed away yesterday, after a skiing accident. Mrs. Richardson was seemingly fine after her fall but, later took a turn for the worse. She leaves behind a husband, Liam Neeson, and two teenage sons. I think that this story is so tragic and important because perhaps going straight to the hospital after the accident, may have helped! I say "may" because no one knows for sure. I can only stress that you seek immediate medical attention after ANY accident. Even if you feel "fine." Two young men are without their mother and nothing can bring her back. Let her story educate you on the importance of medical attention. I remember, as a child, when we would bump our heads our parents or grandparents would say, "Don't go to sleep for an hour!" Essentially, this is the reason why! During that hour if there is bleeding on the brain the symptoms would appear. You may have a headache or blurred vision and nausea. I guess our elders were neurosurgeons back then.
I would like to express my condolences to the family of Natasha Richardson. I will keep them in my prayers.

The First Lady, Michelle Obama, is making a tour of high schools and she's bringing "friends!"

"Michelle Obama is going back to school – and taking Alicia Keys, Sheryl Crow and astronaut Mae Jemison with her.

The first lady is being joined by the women – as well as Denyce Graves, Kerry Washington, Debbie Allen, Maggie Daley, Lisa Leslie, Bobbi Brown, Dominique Dawes, Phylicia Rashad, Alfre Woodard, Penny Pritzker and Gen. Ann Dunwoody – to speak to students in Washington, D.C.-area high schools about setting career goals. The Thursday visits are part of Women's History Month, reports The Washington Post."

I would give money to be in high school now! Kudos!

Nick Cannon Goes Off On Bossip!

Nick Cannon has responded to Bossip.com! They reported that Nick was having problems paying for his wife's wedding ring! Insinuating that he is broke! Mr. Cannon was heated when he took to his own blog! Read his response:
"I guess yesterday was “Hate Nick Cannon Day”! Hahaha! The Blogosphere had my name ringing all over the Google alerts. That is why I am so thankful to have my own site and blog so I can give y’all the real. If it wasn’t the madness about my emails to people, or more pregnancy rumors, it was this craziness on the oh so credible, BOSSIP about me being broke and being sued by my jeweler! Ridiculous! I just got like 3 new major multi million dollar deals in the last 2 months. And I ain’t even finish yet… But now I’m broke, okay! Where do these people get this stuff. First off, I wish my wife’s ring did only cost $500,000 that would have been a deal!… Do your research and you will see how much I really paid for it. I don’t like to disclose or brag about those things because it’s not really anyone’s business but it was quite public what I PAID. Mostly because when my wife and I first got married people were lying and saying the ring was used or that I re-gifted it!LMFAO. So after we cleared that up, almost a year later they come with some more ring drama. Well since my anniversary is coming up I think I might just have to by a whole new joint for my beautiful wife, just to STUNT! And as for the payment plan thing, I wish that was true or possible!! Sh*t, it’s a recession, I would take a lay-away plan in a minute! Hahhaahaa!!

But one thing that is true, I would spend every last dime that I have ever made on my wife, she deserves to be showered with extraordinary gifts and as long as I live I will spend all my money on her and never touch a dime of hers.

Lately, I've been talking about "responsible journalism." I came across an article that stated that rapper Jim Jones was at a club, in Detroit, when masked gunmen burst in and started shooting! Allegedly, during the shooting rapper Trick Trick jumped in front of Jim Jones and was shot. Allhiphop.com tried to confirm the story but, Trick Trick's people denied it happened. Well, The Detroit Free Press, one of the largest newspapers in Detroit, says that Trick Trick was shot and was in the hospital. This is totally irresponsible! The assailants have not been caught, why would you tell them where their victim is resting? They even quote police officers! Read it for yourself! Personally, I'd sue the ink off the paper!

UPDATED AT 11:18 A.M.: Police this morning confirmed the rapper known as Trick Trick was shot in the thigh at a nightclub early today in downtown Detroit, despite his denials on the radio that he was involved in a shooting.



Sgt. Eren Stephens Bell said investigators questioned Christian Mathis, who worked with Eminem on his song "Welcome to Detroit," after he was shot in the thigh at 1:20 a.m. at the Esko Lounge. He was treated at Detroit Receiving Hospital, she said.


But later this morning, DJs from Mojo In The Morning on WKQI-FM (95.5) did an interview with a man who said he was Trick Trick, and who claimed he was at home when his mother called to check reports he had been shot.


“Oh man,” he said while being chided about the allegations. “I went back to bed.…I’m chillin’.”


Police said Mathis and another man were shot at the Michigan Avenue nightclub at Shelby when a fight broke out inside, according to police. The other man was struck in the left arm, police said.


Bell said Trick Trick’s claims are untrue.


"We did speak to this individual," Bell said. "His musical performance name is Trick Trick. I’m confirming he’s a local rapper."


Both shooting victims are expected to recover and police had not made any arrests today.


The musician Trick Trick terminated his interest in the Detroit nightclub Plan B last fall after a reputed fight in September involving Chicago rapper Young Berg. Witnesses have claimed the latter's gold chain was stolen during the incident. Trick Trick says his withdrawal was motivated simply by intense time demands.

I had no idea Ron Silver was ill but, I want to express my condolences. "Ron Silver died peacefully in his sleep with his family around him early Sunday morning" in New York City, said Robin Bronk, executive director of the Creative Coalition, which Silver helped found. "He had been fighting esophageal cancer for two years."

Rest In Peace, Ron...

Even though he was a Democrat and changed to Republican, after Sept. 11th, I still loved his body of work.

America's Next Top Shorty!

Tyra Banks, in her infinite wisdom, decided to start an "America's Next Top Model" with women 5'7 and shorter. The auditions were in NYC and all hell broke loose! It started when two girls camped out and woke up and people were in front of them. Then people were told that if they got out of line, they couldn't come back! What? No bathroom breaks? Anyhoo, a few skirmishes broke out! Then, somebody shouted "gun!" People started stampeding and acting a damn fool! Tyra Banks should have known that if you get a bunch of people under 5'7 in one spot, there is gonna be some ish! People were hospitalized and a few arrests were made. Moral to this story is: Short people have short fuses! LOL

Rest In Peace Altovise!

Sammy Davis Jr.'s widow, Altovise Gore Davis, passed away Saturday. According to yahoo news, "Altovise Joanne Gore Davis, a dancer and actress and the widow of Sammy Davis Jr., has died. She was 65.

Davis died Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering a stroke, said Amy Malone, a publicist for her family.

Davis worked her way to the Broadway stage where she met the legendary entertainer when they performed together in the musical "Golden Boy" in 1967.

She became his third wife when they wed in 1970 (Davis was previously married to dancer Loray White and Swedish actress Mai Britt). They adopted a son and remained together until Davis died of throat cancer in 1990 at the age of 64."

Altovise Davis was a class act and will be missed.....

New Couple Alert!

Lately, Chilli and NFLer Larry Johnson have been spotted out and about together. This seems, on the surface, to be a cute couple but, Larry has some domestic violence issues! In 2005, he was convicted of shoving his girlfriend to the ground! He is, as we speak, being charged with spitting in a woman's face in a club in 2008! I trust that Chilli will not be a victim of Mr. Johnson! She knows a "Scrub" when she sees one!
