After My Sisters Heart!

Lately, the subject of hair has been on people's minds! First Cassie shaves the side of her head and many follow! Then, Chris Rock's movie about "Good Hair!" And, of course, we can't forget about Solange and her new crop cut. Well, keeping up with the Jones' is Tyra Banks! She twittered the following: "Guess What! I’m rockin’ my REAL hair on my talk show September 8th.” she says. “No fake hair at all! Will be the hair coming out of my scalp! 4 all 2 C!” She continues, “no ponytails, no ballet bun head. hair will be out and free!” This will be a sight to see! Mark ya calenders!

I don't get it. Is she doing a show on hair, or is this just a calculated gesture to get high ratings?

Do the Fall ratings sweeps begin September 8 or is that the first episode of her new season?

Color me jaded, but I smell a ratings stunt.

I don't watch the show, but I'll bet she'll be "rockin’ [her] REAL hair" until the first commercial break. Then it's back to the lace-front weave we all know and (some) love.

I have been rocking my hair all my life too! I must admit I am addicted to the "creamy crack!"
In an answer for you Wordswork: The season begins September 8th! She's reaching!

Wait...when Tyra said, "rockin’ my REAL hair," did she mean her real, no-weave hair or her real, nappy hair?

I assume "real hair" to mean unprocessed, i.e. without the creamy crack.

I saw exclusive pics of her first weaveless show! Let me tell you that she is wearing a lacefront wig! Her weaveless days are just that! No sew-ins but wigs? Such a publicity hound!

Sorry Wordswork I think the creamy crack is still in place! Not everybody is as brave as you!

I gave up the "creamy crack" in 2000. My scalp and hair feel so much better. Don't get me wrong, there's been a many a day I want to look back but after a good shampoo and freeness, naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I can't run from rain! I like the freedom of being able to walk in the rain without an instant afro! Fortunately, from an early age, I have been able to perm, color, flat iron, curl and make my hair healthy. Therefore, I am not dependent on a hairdresser. I will not knock the natural hair hustle but, give me creamy crack, anyday!
