My mom made a very sad but true statement after we saw this. She said, "we're going to see many more stories like this". Apparently, they felt they had no options and did not want their kids separated without them. I am not sure if they were church attendees or not. But where on earth was their family?? Well, I know how my fam is financially so, who knows........
Sadly, this is true! I always thought that black people knew how to buckle down and live modestly but, I am rethinking this! I would have gladly taken their children and raised them lovingly! Many people want children and cannot have them. They would have raised them. I'm sorry that nayone feels that life isn't worth living, in debt. I am my happiest when my bills are paid and I am broke! Pray for them!
You know, people do not look for alternative options for many reasons. Some of it is fear, self worth/esteem, some is shame and who knows what else. I just pity the person/people who can't see a way out. Now, my Mom says that the Bible says these people are not forgiven. I say what if they prayed and asked for forgiveness prior to. She says they are not here for forgiveness. How do you feel on this?

I don't know! I grew up being told that heaven/hell is a state of mind! In other words, some are in hell on earth just because of their state of mind. I feel that MY God is a forgiving God. All can and will be forgiven.
You are on point with me Tluv. I don't feel it is my right to be that judgmental. That's GOD job. My (step) mother once looked me in my face and told me I was not going to heaven b/c I was not in church. Her brownie points diminished slowly but surely there can believe. I am aware of who GOD is in my life b.c I was found by the One Above when I was born. Long story short... I know GOD hears and sees everything I do, no matter where I am on this great planet. So church is for evangelizer and fellowshipping which can be done ANY WHERE.
The Bible is a book people beleive in more than their own mere existence. They will quote (or attempt to) the "word" and then say 'you're mother did such and such on purpose' or 'she slept with other men while married'. Hello, who are thy to judge when you sit in sin yourself.
GOD LIVES!! No matter where we go to find that out.
