I'd like to know why Isiah Washington is getting an NAACP award? People say that the black community is homophobic and I tend not to believe it. But this ish makes me wonder.

I think the gay community is homophobic! Why can they say "faggot" and no one else can? We are black and we're trying to ban the "N" word! Stop the damn namecalling! We should be angry when someone is oppressing someone. Namecalling doesn't kill ya! It's just not nice. Besides Isiah has paid the price. Leave him be!

I still think it looks bad when the NAACP gives an award to someone like him. That award is supposed to go to African Americans who uplift the race. Sure, Isiah being Black and being part of such a popular show as "Grey's Anatomy" is great for all people of color. But that benefit is cancelled out by the fact that he is such a homophobic putz! One step forward, two steps back.

Homophobic putz or not the man does a wonderful job acting! That is what the award was for. He did not help a old , black, gay woman across the street. This was not an award for him being a nice person! Simply a good actor! Leave me alone Wordswork02! End this now or suffer the wrath of TLUV!
