O.K., normally I am not the badboy brooding type. I have to say that this is the main reason I got hooked on "The Wire." Idris Elba is a wonderful actor. He's not bad on the eye either. Idris hooked me but, the storyline has kept me. Note to readers: In case you didn't know, Mr. Elba has a thick English accent. He hides it so well that when you hear him talk, you think he's faking. Just another reason to love Idris! Check him out February 14th in the new Tyler Perry movie "Daddy Little Girls."

Hip-Hop crooner, Nate Dogg, has filed a $10 million dollar lawsuit against Suge Knight. Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Hale, is asking for back royalties. He is also asking that his claim not be lumped into Suge Knight's bankruptcy file. Nate Dogg says when he asked Knight about his money, he responded with threats of violence. Note to artists: Stay the hell away from Deathrow Records! Many of it's artists have come up dead! Tupac, Lisa "Lefteye" Lopes just to name a few! I'm just sayin....

That T.I. and his girlfriend Tiny, formerly of Exscape, are engaged and plan to marry in July. Rumor also has it that the couple are expecting a child in June. We shall soon see! Congrats to all! Note to T.I.: Call Me!!!!

Many other blogs are distributing a petition to have Isiah Washington fired from "Grey's Anatomy." I agree that his comments were not "nice." I don't agree that he should be fired. Was Mel Gibson "fired" from his directorial job? Was The Seinfeld DVD taken off the shelves after Michael Richards remarks? Why the preferential treatment wanted? Feelings are feelings! I will gladly sign that petition when Mel Gibson and Michael Ritchards are "blackballed." No pun intended! LOL Did I fail to mention that the petition is peppered with misspelled words? Get it together! I-G-N-O-R-A-N-T!

Update On Foxy Brown...

Foxy Brown was back in court yesterday. Apparently Foxy was kicked out of Anger Managment classes for non-payment. The prosecution was asking that Fox Boogie be thrown in jail. Allegedly Foxy was asked to pay $180 dollars (cash) for her treatment and she refused. Foxy's lawyer says that the classes were supposed to be $30 dollars and she was not to pay in cash. The judge sided with Foxy when her lawyer said she would enroll in private Anger Management classes. Foxy left the courtroom saying she finally felt vindicated in a court of law. Note to Foxy: I can see the changes in you, and I'm very proud! Fix your lipstick and your wig and get signed to a label and I'll congratulate you!

Please tell me that Michael Vick did not show up at the airport with a 20 ounce bottle of water that turned out to have a hidden compartment, behind the label ,that had marijuana hidden in it! Please say this madness is just a rumor! Why can't the weed smokers of America travel and find a "connect" in their destination? With all the searching at the airports, who does this ish? I like Michael Vick but, I'm beginning to think he and his brother don't belong in the NFL. They belong in the "Underworld." They are the seediest people I've ever seen! Note to readers: They are innocent until proven guilty, yeah right! Sorry readers but, people would "kill" to be in te NFL and these fools are trying their hardest to be put out of the NFL! Considering she's 38 and he's 25, seems to me somebody is robbing the cradle! Sidenote: Ray J is also the former lover of Superhead. Superhead is the current lover of Bobby Brown. Do you see the triangle? Anyhoo I pray these rumors are false. Note to Whitney: A comeback is inevitable, please don't blow it with this loser! I'm just sayin....

Divorce is always hard but, allegations of "alternative lifestyles" make thing worse. Finally the marriage of Michael and Jean Strahan is over. Unfortunately, it wasn't without mudslinging. While being asked in court about a loveletter, Michael Strahan said he wasn't sure if it was addressed to "Jean" or "John." Jean Strahan told reporters after their break-up Michael moved in with a "male" friend and an "alternative" lifestyle began. Jean Strahan has recently said that she meant that he would rather party and hang with friends than be at home with her and their newborn twin girls. Note to readers: Michael has alot of money to pay ($15 million). I'm just saying, O.J.'s wife never bad mouthed him. I'm talking about his first wife! Sista's just don't do that! I'm talking to all athletes! Especially, Jason Kidd!!!!!

Finally!

Finally, a predominantly black film garners 2 Golden Globe wins! I already mentioned Jennifer Hudson's win. Eddie Murphy picked up a Golden Globe also. I'm happy for the both of them. Note to readers: Now, all Eddie has to do is show up on Maury's show in 5 months. LMAO! Oh, and Prince won a Golden Globe for the song from the movie "Happy Feet." Congrats to all!

Remember I said Forrest Whitaker was going to win a Golden Globe? I was right! He took home that Globe for "The Last King Of Scotland." Who would have thunk it? Don't sleep on Forrest! By now you already know that Jennifer Hudson won a Golden Globe for portraying Effie in "Dreamgirls." She dedicated the award to the late Florence Ballard. Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 1929-1968

Besides being a day off from work, this day should be a day of thanks. I thank Dr. King for his "dream." We still have work to do to make that dream a reality but, we are working. Coretta didn't see his dream come to fruition but, maybe his children and grandchildren will. Always and Forever, We Love You Martin Luther King Jr.....
