Natalie Cole was on Entertainment Tonight discussing her recent hospitalization. Apparently her lungs were filled and her kidneys are functioning at only 10%. She is on dialysis and hoping for a renal transplant. Keep her in your prayers....

Denise Rich Hosted Gabrielle’s Gala Benefiting Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research took place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. Everybody showed up! Akon and Patty LaBelle looked "nice." Ashanti and Christina Millian channeled "Old Hollywood" and Ne-Yo and Ray Allen supported the cause.

Not Again???

Lyfe Jennings, the singer, is in trouble, again. Peep this, "R&B bigshot Lyfe Jennings just got nabbed by Georgia police for allegedly shooting off a gun, taking cops on a chase in a Corvette, and refusing to take a DUI test. Smyrna, Ga. police tell us they were responding to a gunshots fired call when they spotted Jennings’ Vette hightailing it away from the scene. A chase ensued and Jennings eventually crashed. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon. and he faces charges of attempting to elude, as well as discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusing to take the sobriety test. Lyfe — real name Chester — was in prison from 1992-2002 after being convicted of arson."

A high school in suburban St. Louis is reeling from the positive HIV tests of 50 students! FIFTY STUDENTS! The entire school is about to be tested. Read on, "October 23, 2008. NORMANDY, Mo. (AP) — Officials plan to start HIV testing at a suburban St. Louis high school where as many as 50 students may have been exposed to the virus that causes AIDS.St. Louis County spokesman Craig LeFebvre said Wednesday that the mode of transmission in the scare at Normandy High School could include sexual activity, drug use, piercings or tattoos.The St. Louis County Health Department said last week that a positive HIV test raised concerns that students at Normandy might have been exposed.The Health Department is not saying whether the infected person was a student. Testing at the school is beginning this week."

As I told you the other day, Lil Wayne was expecting a son, any day. Well, the baby was born yesterday in a hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The mother is not his girlfriend/fiance, Nivea. Instead, her name is Sara and she is a nail tech in Ohio and a jumpoff of his for the last couple years. Damn, do rappers have women in every city? Nastyass! This Is Ridiculous!!!

Michael Vick may be back in the NFL, next year, if all goes well. Check this out, "Suspended NFL player Michael Vick is expected to enter a guilty plea next week to the state dogfighting charges he faces in Virginia. Surry County Circuit Court administrator Sally Neblett says a hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 30 on a motion to hear a videotaped plea from the jailed Atlanta Falcons quarterback. The Virginian-Pilot reported that Vick hopes his guilty plea to the state charges will earn him an early release from federal prison based on documents filed in Surry County Circuit Court. Vick is currently serving a 23-month sentence on felony charges related to dogfighting."

I hope that those Caucasians that bet on those dogs and train and breed them, are the next to go to jail! Besides, if the NFL can allow Adam "Pacman" Jones to continue to play, they surely can allow Michael Vick to come back!

Pray for me," the New Orleans native, 26, said during his acceptance speech for lyricist of the year Saturday night. He then reminded the crowd to vote in November." The mother of his new spawn is a mystery. Some sources say it is singer Nivea (formerly married to "The Dream"). We'll see....

The comedian that influenced Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy has passed. Rudy Ray Moore passed today at the age of 71. Known for his roles in Blaxpoitation movies, he was also a funny story teller and the incomparable Dolemite. May he rest in peace.....

50% Culprits!!!

These are the ladies of "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta." I think they are partially to blame for the negative thoughts in the African American athletes heads! From left-right, NeNe (married to a successful black businessman), DeShaun (married to Basketball player Sean Snow), Sherae (former wife of Football player Bob Whitfield), Kim (kept woman of mystery man alleged to be a celebrity) and Lisa (current wife of football player and real estate mogul). I say they are 50% to blame because of their money-grubbing ways! Sherae wants a 7-figure deal in her divorce! Yet, she never played the game! DeShaun is walking around like she comes from old money! Hiring a Governess to handle her staff of chef, maids, landscapers, hairdressers and makeup artists. Yet, her husband is "old" in basketball years and soon will retire. It also pains me that she needs all this help so she can concentrate on her kids but, her kids a little hellions! Lisa and her husband are more down-to-earth. They cook for each other and don't talk about designer clothes constantly! The funniest line I heard from the show came from Deshaun. While at Sherae's party Deshaun said, "The black and white elite all mesh together in Atlanta! There isn't as much segregation here!" I thought it was funny because I only saw two white people and I couldn't tell you who either of them was!

Rumor has it that Katt Williams was arrested, this weekend. Rumor also has it that Katt will be replaced by T-Pain in hosting the BET awards. What did the little man do? Details are limited but, I hope he doesn't lose his hosting gig! He made it funny and worth watching.
