Arrest Made In Eddie Curry Baby Mama Case!
As you may remember, Eddie Curry (NBA player) was dealt a heavy blow when the mother of his 3 year old son and her daughter were killed in January. Well, an arrest has been made.
"The Chicago Tribune reported Saturday that Henry's mother, Yolan Henry, said a detective informed her after midnight that a Chicago man, a more recent boyfriend of her daughter's, was in custody.
"I feel relieved that I don't have to walk outside and wonder if he going to hurt my grandson," Yolan Henry told the newspaper.
At Henry's funeral last month, she had told mourners: "Whoever did this and whatever did this, it's going to be taken care of by God."

Ri-Ri Has Spoken!
Rihanna was spotted in L.A. on Thursday! Today, her 21st birthday, she issued a statement thanking her fans. She wrote:
"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," says the statement from her rep on Friday. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
Stay strong girl!
Twins!
Yikes!
Dear NY Post!
John Legend fired off a letter to the Editor of The New York Post, regarding the cartoon seen around the world. Read On:
Dear Editor:
I’m trying to understand what possible motivation you may have had for publishing that vile cartoon depicting the shooting of the chimpanzee that went crazy. I guess you thought it would be funny to suggest that whomever was responsible for writing the Economic Recovery legislation must have the intelligence and judgment of a deranged, violent chimpanzee, and should be shot to protect the larger community. Really? Did it occur to you that this suggestion would imply a connection between President Barack Obama and the deranged chimpanzee? Did it occur to you that our President has been receiving death threats since early in his candidacy? Did it occur to you that blacks have historically been compared to various apes as a way of racist insult and mockery? Did you intend to invoke these painful themes when you printed the cartoon?
If that’s not what you intended, then it was stupid and willfully ignorant of you not to connect these easily connectable dots. If it is what you intended, then you obviously wanted to be grossly provocative, racist and offensive to the sensibilities of most reasonable Americans. Either way, you should not have printed this cartoon, and the fact that you did is truly reprehensible. I can’t imagine what possible justification you have for this. I’ve read your lame statement in response to the outrage you provoked. Shame on you for dodging the real issue and then using the letter as an opportunity to attack Rev. Sharpton. This is not about Rev. Sharpton. It’s about the cartoon being blatantly racist and offensive.
I believe in freedom of speech, and you have every right to print what you want. But freedom of speech still comes with responsibilities and consequences. You are responsible for printing this cartoon, and I hope you experience some real consequences for it. I’m personally boycotting your paper and won’t do any interviews with any of your reporters, and I encourage all of my colleagues in the entertainment business to do so as well. I implore your advertisers to seriously reconsider their business relationships with you as well.
You should print an apology in your paper acknowledging that this cartoon was ignorant, offensive and racist and should not have been printed.
I’m well aware of our country’s history of racism and violence, but I truly believe we are better than this filth. As we attempt to rise above our difficult past and look toward a better future, we don’t need the New York Post to resurrect the images of Jim Crow to deride the new administration and put black folks in our place. Please feel free to criticize and honestly evaluate our new President, but do so without the incendiary images and rhetoric.
Sincerely,
John Legend
The New Your Post gave this half-ass apology! Read On:
"Wednesday’s Page Six cartoon - caricaturing Monday’s police shooting of a chimpanzee in Connecticut - has created considerable controversy. It shows two police officers standing over the chimp’s body: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill,” one officer says. It was meant to mock an ineptly written federal stimulus bill. Period. But it has been taken as something else - as a depiction of President Obama, as a thinly veiled expression of racism. This most certainly was not its intent; to those who were offended by the image, we apologize. However, there are some in the media and in public life who have had differences with The Post in the past - and they see the incident as an opportunity for payback. To them, no apology is due. Sometimes a cartoon is just a cartoon - even as the opportunists seek to make it something else."

More Essence Ladies!
Halle Halle!
Cute Couple!
Guess who will be celebrating a one year anniversary? Mariah and Nick Cannon! Just think, you thought their love wouldn't last! The couple appear to still be in love! I think what attracted to Nick was the fact that he seems to want to "take care" of her. He seems very attentive! Who wouldn't want that?
TMZ Should Be Sued!
TMZ has, again, overstepped their bounds. They have posted what is supposed to be a photo of Rihanna, after her, alleged, fight with Chris Brown. The L.A.P.D. is looking into the photo! According to People.com, "Los Angeles police launched an internal investigation Thursday night after a graphic photo reportedly of Rihanna with injuries from an alleged assault by Chris Brown surfaced on the Internet.
"The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official domestic violence investigation," says a police statement. "The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence."
Perhaps this irresponsible journalism will cease! I have chosen not publish the photo because I think it's despicable! Let this woman heal! If I were Rihanna, I'd sue TMZ for invasion of privacy!

Deadbeat Luke Has Gone Down!!!!
Luther Campbell, founder of 2 Live Crew, has been jailed for failure to pay his child support read on:
"Miami mogul/rapper Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell was arrested in Miami for failing to pay child support. Campbell was taken into custody just after 6:00 pm today (February 17), for allegedly failing to pay over $10,000 dollars in child support. According to the Miami Herald, the rapper will be released from prison when he pays the full amount due in child support to Shakera Morgan, the mother of one of his children.
Morgan has a paternity case against the 48-year-old mogul, a founding member of the pioneering rap group, 2 Live Crew. In July of 2008, Campbell married his girlfriend of two years, Kristin Thompson, in Dallas, Texas."
When will these people learn that kids eat too? Children have the right to have a roof over their heads!
Tameka Raymond Released From Hospital!
According to Yahoo news:
"SAO PAULO, Brazil – The wife of R&B singer Usher was released from a Sao Paulo hospital after spending 11 days recovering from a cardiac arrest she suffered shortly before undergoing plastic surgery.
A spokeswoman for the Sirio-Libanes Hospital said Wednesday that Tameka Raymond left the facility Monday night but declined to provide any details on Raymond's treatment at the family's request. The spokewoman spoke on condition of anonymity per hospital policy.
Representatives for Usher had no immediate comment.
Ellen Dastry, a spokeswoman for the doctor who was to perform the plastic surgery, said last week that Raymond suffered a cardiac arrest while being anesthetized ahead of a "simple liposuction" at Sao Paulo's Sao Rafael Hospital.
Raymond was revived in less than a minute with heart massage, and was placed in an induced coma before being taken to the intensive-care unit, said Dastry, spokeswoman for plastic surgeon Silvio Sterman.
She was then transferred to the posh and better-equipped Sirio-Libanes Hospital to recover."
Update: There are reports that Tameka told the Doctors that she gave birth to a baby 4 months ago! She really gave birth 2 months ago! This could explain her body's reaction to the anesthesia! Has the Donda West incident ever swayed anyone? Lying when you are putting yourself in someone else's hands is NEVER a good thing!
Whenever.....
Whenever I get upset with injustice, I think about these pictures! Whenever I think that I am being held back, I think of these pictures! Whenever I wonder about my son's future, I think of these pictures! Whenever I see racist cartoons and racist stories in the news, I think of these pictures! Nobody can take this away from me! Try as they will......
Racist Or Just A Cartoon?
I saw this cartoon and I thought that it was about the chimp that mauled the owner's friend! Then I read the caption and I was instantly pissed! I went from Mr. Rogers chillin, to straight ticked off! Guess who's surfaced and is talking ish about the cartoon! Rev. Al Sharpton! Where has he been? I haven't seen him since, before the inauguration. I thought he had cimbed back under his rock. For the record, I think this cartoon is hella racist but, I'm not giving them a moment to shine! I have President Barack Obama! They have goose egg!

I Hate It When........
I hate it when washed up people try to stay relevant! You probably think I'm talking about Suge Knight! WRONG! I'm talking about Roseanne Barr! This idiot took to her blog and called Chris Brown a "Sleazy Bastard!" This boy is 19! I think that he can be rehabilitated! If he was 30 and beating his girlfriend, I might think that he was damaged and couldn't be fixed! Stop taking to your blogs talking about the problem! Be a part of the solution! Roseanne has been a thorn in my ass for a long time! She made a mockery of herself and then ran and hid! Now, she wants to talk ish behind a blog! Screw her! Get the boy some help!
Ray J's Got Some 'Splaining To Do!!!!!
Ray J (brother of Brandy and sex tape partner of Kim Kardashian) is being accused of impregnating a contestant on his show, "For The Love Of Ray J." The girl named Danger (real name Monica Leon) did an interview with The National Enquirer and said the Ray J got her pregnant during the taping of the show! That was a bombshell but what she said later really blew the lid off! She told the ragmag, “I have done pictures, I’ve been an exotic dancer and I’ve also done some prostitution and that’s something that I really didn’t want to just talk about right away cause it’s a scary, scary thing, it has such a negative connotation to it. But I was a prostitute for about two and half years, and you know I was making alot of money, I had all this cash, shopping… all this s**t, you know, nice car, nice place, but it didn’t make me happy.”
Danger is the girl with the tattoo on her face. It is quite evident that Ray J is smitten with the girl. I watch the show and can see the way he interacts with her more than the other girls! Oh, Ms. Leon is not seeking a wedding from Ray J because she is marrying Nick Cannon's brother, Gabriel! This is all kinda crazy!
What's Wrong With This Picture?
Why are these two looking so homely? Beyonce, usually pretty stylish, looks like a librarian! Jay-Z should never open his mouth like that! Normally, they are trying to look fashionably forward, why dress down for the All-Star game? This is the place to show your stuff! By the way the West beat the East 146-119!
Jackson Drama!
Marlon Jackson is planning on opening a "slave theme park!" WTF? I realize he hasn't done anything since Skippy was a puppy (and he's full grown now) but seriously! This Kentucky Fried fool is really thinking of a theme park where you can go where the slaves were held and then go and have lunch! I want to slap him with Michael's "special" glove! The developers say the slave park of laughs is being marketed to African-Americans who wish to trace back their roots. If anyone needs to trace their roots it's the Jacksons! Maybe they can find out how there noses got so small and how Michael became so fair skinned! LOL File this under B---- PLease!

Say What????
I received an e-mail that said that I was not taking the violence against women thing, seriously! I was like, "What the F!!!?" I, in no way, am excusing the actions of Chris Brown! I, however, do realize that I am not to judge! These people talking ish, objectify women in their videos! What's the difference? I feel that there can be a positive outcome to this entire situation! Chris and Rihanna need help! Counseling, would be a great start! After counseling, the two can talk to kids about violence. Rihanna can talk to girls and boys and Chris can talk to girls and boys about the perils of violence. We, as adults, can realize that our children internalize everything that they see. If our significant other is physically abusive or verbally abusive, our children will do or accept the same when they grow up! Our kids don't even know when this rage is festering inside them. We all need to check ourselves!
Woody Allen Is Colorblind!
Yes, he doesn't want any people of color in his films. Angela Basset agrees! She had this to say about Woody Allen:
“I mean, to have one black cast member for the whole film seems rather strange, and, oh yes, she’s a prostitute, of course,” said the actress who portrayed Tina Turner in the biopic What’s Love Got to Do With it? “Don’t get me wrong, I love Spain and it looked beautiful, but that part of the world is so diverse and, really, what is that about?”
Although Allen has succeeded in signing up Sir Anthony Hopkins and Josh Brolin to appear in his next film, which is set in London, the 50-year-old American actress added that she had herself no desire to work for him. “I wouldn’t want to,” she told Mandrake at the premiere of Notorious, a film about the late rap singer the Notorious B.I.G. “He’s a little weird.”
Note To Suge Knight: Just Stay Home!!!!
There are reports that Suge Knight, out celebrating the NBA All-Star weekend at the W Hotel, was punched in the face and has possible bone fractures. The culprit wa a Robert Carnes Jr. Carnes alleged to the police that he is the business manager of Akon. Akon's publicist sent out a statement saying that Robert Carnes is not Akon's business manager, David Bolno is Akon's business manager. Robert Carnes is a member of Akon's camp. By the way, Akon was nestled in his bed at the time of the fight. Suge was transported to a hospital. Robert Carnes was arrested because he hit Suge in the face, right in front of the police! His charge is felony aggravated assault due to Suge Knights injuries! Dang!
That's A Step!
Chris Brown has broken his silence and issued a statement. This statement is about the serious charges against him, regarding the fight with Rihanna after the pre-Grammy party. Chris had this to say:
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person.
Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else.
Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
I think that people speaking out, against him, like Jay-Z and Kanye, should stay out of it! Stop judging him! I was very happy to hear that Will Smith has reached out to Chris and Rihanna, and offered his help. That is what a real man is supposed to do! The two that are talking about the situation are boys who can only get girlfriends, if they are rich and famous! Yeah, I said it! I would hate to see the skeletons in their closet! They can't beat a woman because they only recent got one!
Update: This is the statement from Will Smith:
"Jada and I reached out to both of them. If it's help they need, then let's get it right. This is a time where they need to be left alone and if they have things they need to work out, work it out. People should take a minute before they jump on it and judge. We don’t know nothing. If there are mistakes people make, then they should be willing to live up to the mistakes and do whatever penance they need to do. I don’t think it’s up to us, specifically the media, with such a fast hand to try to chop someone’s head off."
