Congrats Jill!

Jill Scott is expecting her first child! She announced her pregnancy while promoting her HBO show The #1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Jill found out she was pregnant just before going to Botswana to shoot the show. She had this to say about her early pregnancy, "The first trimester I spent in Botswana," said the star, who is due April 25. "That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You're sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days. "The first trimester I spent in Botswana," said the star, who is due April 25. The Unemployment Line Just Got Longer!

Jermaine Dupri just joined the ranks of the unemployed, after being fired from Island Records! According to Pagesix.com, "After [his girlfriend] Janet Jackson's album and tour bombed, he basically didn't come back to work. He still collected a paycheck, but didn't bother to do anything that he was supposed to do, like find artists, release records or actually show up. Executives tried to talk to him, but he just lost heart." Dupri was widely blamed for Jackson's album flop as he insisted on letting her get her way on song selection and production of the release, "Discipline." The spy adds, "Very few producers have turned into good executives, with the exception of Dr. Dre." A rep for Dupri's boss, Island/Def Jam head L.A. Reid, declined to comment,"

Kiddies, The Pied Piper Is Single!

According to People.com, "R&B singer R. Kelly and his wife of 11 years, Andrea Lee Kelly, are officially divorced, according to a statement from their lawyers Thursday.

Kelly, 42, and Andrea, 35, will have joint custody of their three children. No other details were revealed.

Plastic Surgeon Gets A Year!

According to Eonline.com, "Plastic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams, who last year pleaded no contest to misdemeanor driving under the influence, was sentenced Monday in Solano County Court to a year in jail." His run-in with the law came shortly after the death of Dr. Donda West. Note to Jan: Get it together!

Movie Premiere...

The premiere for "Notorious" went down, last night in New York. Anybody who is anybody, represented. The movie is about the rise and death of Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace. Known simply as "Biggie." Angela Bassett plays Voletta Wallace, the mother of Biggie. Derek Luke portrays Sean "P-Diddy" Combs and Naturi Baughton portrays Lil Kim. Of course, all of New york came to the premiere. Jay-Z and Beyonce, Dougie Fresh, Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige and Lil Mama, just to name a few. The movie looks good but, we'll see.

Note to Angela Bassett: Lotion! Don't leave home without it! We love ya!

Lisa Bonet is weird and, apparently, so is her baby daddy, Jason Momoa. The couple had a baby last month and didn't tell a soul! Jason's mother blogged about the baby boy on his website. The fact that they didn't tell anyone about the birth is not the strangest part of the story. The baby's name will flip ya lid! Hold on to your wig, the baby's name is Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa! Okay, I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they named him after his Samoan heritage. Bullcrap!!!! They are just WEIRD!

Jennifer Hudson is leading the pack in nominations, seven to be exact, by the NAACP. Her nominations are for her role in "The Secret Life Of Bees!" Alicia Keys received a nod for her role, as well. I am so happy for them! For Jennifer, I know it doesn't assuage all the pain but, it can ease the hurt for a moment! Congrats to Jennifer and Alicia Keys!

Rumor Has It....

Rumor has it that Hollywood is looking to make a movie of "The Gilligan's Island!" I hear that Beyonce's name has been thrown around to play Ginger. Have they learned nothing from "Cadillac Records?" She can't act or pull a crowd. Besides, there are many "black" beauties! Stop fixating on one! This makes girls think they have to be like Beyonce. What about Kerri Washington? What about Zoe Saldana?

P.S. If you think she can act, watch Cadillac Records. How can you mess up cursing lines? DAMN!

This Is Sad!!!!

People are so infatuated with the whole "big booty" phenomenon. Watch the video of this poor lady and her sagging implants. SMH at the newscasters laughing at her misfortune. I don't find this funny! It's sad! Why can't people be themselves?

This is something I know about firsthand. Something I have dealt, and still dealing , with on a daily basis. A child support dodger! Yet, this man takes it to a new level. He killed his 2 1/2 year old son to prevent paying child support. Read on:
