This Must Be Beyonce's Day!

Many publications have listed Beyonce as a mourner at Jennifer Hudson's funeral for her mother, brother and nephew. There seems to be a discrepancy! According to a family friend, named James, Beyonce wasn't there and never called. Read his myspace entry:

So i wasnt going to write about this but it is really really bugging me. Especially when people are calling my phone saying how nice it was of Beyonce to come to the funeral and show her support. And i have to sit back and hold everything i wanna say inside. But i cant do it no more. Beyonce did not come to the funeral nor did she call, text, send a card or hell send a damn email. If there are millions of people who are leaving Jennifer and Julia and myself messages and sending there prayers and condelences and these people don’t even know them why couldnt she? Every singer that Jennifer admires and had been a role model for her growing up even until now has called, from Aretha to Shirley Murdock to even present day singers like Chrisette Michelle. And yall know how much Jennifer loves Beyonce and she couldn’t even have her assistant call or nothing. But yet her camp is allowing her to recieve credit for coming to the funeral and being there for Jennifer and her family. Bullshit! This just pisses me off. Once again thanks to everyone who has be there for us. And sorry if i offended any of Beyonce fans by writing this but if i just couldn’t keep sitting back and reading articles and emails and having my phone ring about how nice it was of Beyonce to come out!"

The REAL Housewives Of Atlanta!

This show has caused so much drama! I love watching because they are so far-fetched! I was tooling around and found some interesting info about one of these ladies! Lisa Wu Hartwell is married to NFL player Edgerton Hartwell. She is also the ex-wife of Mr. Keith Sweat. They have two children that he has custody of. She talks about making money on the show but, she filed for bankruptcy in 2007! Why would a person married to a football player file for bankruptcy? I posted this because I think Lisa is the shadiest character on the show! This weeks show exposed her for the catty person that she is! Why doesn't she have custody of her two kids? She claimed her ex-husband was violent and not a good person! Why would you leave your children there? Lisa Wu Hartwell: EXPOSED!

So, I was reading about the ban on Prop 8 in California. I am really pissed! Would you want someone telling you who you can and cannot marry? NO! If you can't think about it from that point of view, think about it this way: My father passed away and left his life insurance to me. This money was for me to decide where to bury him and how. I decided on his burial place and was met with contention. My grandmother(daddy's mother) was not happy! She wanted him buried at a National Cemetery that was 3 hours away from my home. It was a free burial but, it was too far. In the end, I made the final decision. It cost me alot. I lost the love of my family (on my father's side). Can you imagine, someone telling you what to do with your loved one? Basically, gay marriage is to ensure that upon the death or illness of their loved one, the parents or children cannot stop them from being in on the decision-making process. Why is that wrong? This ban needs to be rescinded! Somehow! Today! Stop Blaming African Americans! Religion is the culprit!!!!

Those who know me know that I have an affinity for a certain dog. That dog would be the Bichon Frise. They are cute, hypoallergenic, and kid-friendly. Malia and Sasha will have years of fun with the pooch. They need grooming but they do NOT shed! That is a plus because that means the President will never be photoed with pet hair on his clothes! Think about it! I will provide you with pictures to sway you!

Oprah For Finance Secretary!

I think Oprah should be the Secretary of Finance because she is the only person in America that is still making money! The lady knows how to market herself and make that paper! She is dumping ABC and moving to her own channel! According to Pagesix.com, "Discovery Communications, which is partnering with Winfrey in the OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) cable channel starting next year, announced yesterday Winfrey's namesake show will cease to air via syndication on ABC by September 2011.

"The expectation is that after that, her show will go off of ABC in syndication and she will come to OWN," Discovery CEO David Zaslav said on the company's first earnings call as a public company. "We're talking now about what the presence will be and what kind of programming she would be involved in directly. But this is her Chapter 2, and building the OWN brand online and on-air is . . . a core mission for her."

Name one person that would be better than Oprah in the position of Secretary of Finance!

Beyonce has decided that she wants to sing at the inauguration ceremony! She has told the press, "I'm there. I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready," a giddy Beyonce said in an interview the day after Barack Obama made history in becoming the nation's first elected black president."
Call me a prude but, I think her videos are too sexually charged for her to sing at the inauguration! This should be a classy and inclusive affair. The person that sings should have more longevity and should be more recognizable to all of America. I give her kudos for saying she is ready to volunteer but, I think maybe an after-party would be a better place for her show.

Everybody knows that November 4th was election day and Diddy's birthday! He partied and celebrated President Obama's election! The party had many guests. Keysha Cole came and looked very pretty. Cassie was there(as usual) in her Sunday best. Other guests included: Common, Dallas Austin, Ne-Yo, Dougie Fresh, Mary J. Blige, Ben Stiller and Jay-Z. This party was, definitely, star-studded!

Lisa Bonet: Not Ready For Primetime?

Lisa Bonet is talking to People.com about returning to television and she clears up that rumor about a son! Read it here:
"To have my face reinstated in minds and homes once a week was an intense decision," says the star, who achieved fame early in life on the hit Cosby Show.

The paparazzi's interest her family has been one of the downsides to being back in the public eye. Bonet, 41, has a 16-month-old daughter Lola with boyfriend, actor Jason Momoa (Stargate Atlantis), and is expecting their second child in January.

"It feels like you're being stalked," she says. "As a shy person, that type of attention coming at me violates something. I don't like that it's expected to come with the territory."

Bonet does have a lighthearted complaint about some other media attention. She'd like to debunk the widespread rumor that she also has a son. "I don't have three children already," she says. "I always hear that I do … Apparently, there's some young child locked in a basement," she quips. "I don't dwell on that stuff, but that comes to mind.”

Motherhood is definitely a priority for Bonet, who describes herself as "a hands-on mom."

"A parent's hope is to pass on wisdom so they don't repeat the same mistakes you did," she says. "You want a better life for them."

As for why she decided to sign on for a the new role, despite some reservations about the attention she'd be getting, she says, "You know, I guess it all has to do with the stars lining up and it being the right time and the right project.'

A happy love life also helped. "Having a mate has given me that feeling of safety," she adds.

This Is A Monumental Day!

This day is so special that rumors are not being reported today! I want nothing to "stain" this day! I still have tears in my eyes! Where were you when you heard the news that WE have an African-American president? I was talking to my sister(long distance) when my other line rang, and a friend named Jennifer called and said "he won!" She was crying and I started crying! I fell to the floor and my son was in shock! My son said that he couldn't cry because it's only been 15 years, for him. Yet, he felt the impact and knew what it meant! Beyonce and Mary J. Blige and everybody came out for a block party! They rocked the vote! I am so proud of our celebs!

I Voted!!!

I voted today! I stood in line for 90 minutes! My feet hurt but, I loved every minute of it! Get out and vote! I was proud of every person I saw in line, black or white! I did see a few people trying to evoke animosity! I let them ride. VOTE TODAY!

A Kiss Goodbye....

According to People.com, the private memorial for Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew was a somber goodbye. "The Oscar-winning actress spent a few moments at the caskets of her brother and nephew, and gently touched the body of her mother before leaning down to kiss her, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Toward the end of the service, American Idol's season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino sang a rousing rendition of the gospel classic "Your Grace and Mercy." During the song, she walked into the aisle where she took Hudson's hand and sang directly to her.

The Reverend Jesse Jackson and Chicago Mayor Richard Daley both spoke at the service. After the funeral, a horse-drawn carriage led the procession to the cemetery."
