"What makes you a man more than being a father to your child? I recognize I gave anonymity away when I became an artist, but to have people try to paint a horrible picture of what's so beautiful - it's obvious someone is trying to stop something so beautiful."
As for embattled spouse Tameka - who has been blamed for the firing of most of Usher's music team, for not getting along with his mother, Jonetta Patton, and for being jealous of other women - Usher says,"Just get over it." He has posed with his son , for free, for Essence magazine's Father's Day issue.

NEW YORK (AP) — Breaking with standards widely followed by the mainstream news media, the celebrity Web site TMZ posted a story Wednesday about a 14-year-old who's a movie star's son and an alleged sex crime victim, and it ran the boy's picture.The story said the boy was in a relationship with a 22-year-old woman, whose ex-boyfriend tipped off police that she was having sex with a minor. Police have opened an investigation, the story said.Almost all news organizations refrain from identifying sex crime victims, let alone show their picture, because of the stigma often attached to it, said Kelly McBride, ethics group leader at the journalism think tank Poynter Institute. The Associated Press' policy is not to identify people in such cases."The reason the story is even interesting to TMZ is because of who the child is," McBride said. We've all heard his remarks on women. (i.e. the "Baby wipes" quotes) Read what Terrence Howard said about being called gay, "I don't mind being considered eccentric, but sometimes within the Hip-Hop or Black community, eccentric is oftentimes associated with being gay or something like that. According to People Magazine:
CSI star Gary Dourdan was arrested early Monday in Palm Springs, Calif., for alleged drug possession, according to local police. Shortly after 5 a.m., a patrol officer spotted Dourdan parked on the wrong side of the street and he appeared to be sleeping, the Palm Springs Police Department said in a statement. Dourdan was found in possession of suspected cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and prescription pills, the statement added. The officer described Dourdan, 41, as "disoriented" and possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Over the weekend, Dourdan had attended the Coachella Music Festival, which took place in nearby Indio, Calif. After five hours in custody, the actor posted $5,000 bail and was released. A rep for the actor wasn't immediately available for comment. His arraignment is set for May 28. The arrest was first reported by TMZ.com. As you know Gary is scheduled to leave CSI, this might be why?

How can you call yourself an award winning publication, and contribute to this mess? The Rev. Jeremiah Wright is a scholar. Whether you agree with him or not, the man is educated and quite eloquent. To call his speeches "rantings" is extremely disrespectful. To call his speeches "rantings" means you should call President Bush's speeches "foolishness!" At the very least, he enunciates and pronounces words correctly. His appearances should not hurt Barack Obama, in any way. He has stepped down from his church and is on a speaking tour. Barack has said that he doesn't necessarily agree with him on all levels, and that should be the end. Stop with the snippets! I had the fortune to see and hear his speech at the NAACP Dinner, and I was mesmerized. He could be the next MLK! I'm sure that many people don't want this but, if people get behind him, what can you do? Everytime someone rises to lead, people try to take them down. When Bill Cosby tried to tell African Americans to raise their children right, they said that he fathered children outside his marriage and that he tried to drug and sexually assault a woman. My point is that change is coming! Someone will rise to lead! Perhaps Rev. Wright or Barack Obama, whoever takes the challenge. We are ready! Change is coming!
