What Do You Think?

I came across a very disturbing article in the news! Read on:

" A 14-year-old New Jersey girl has been accused of child pornography after posting nearly 30 explicit nude pictures of herself on MySpace.com — charges that could force her to register as a sex offender if convicted.

The case comes as prosecutors nationwide pursue child pornography cases resulting from kids sending nude photos to one another over cell phones and e-mail. Legal experts, though, could not recall another case of a child porn charge resulting from a teen's posting to a social networking site.

MySpace would not comment on the New Jersey investigation, but the company has a team that reviews its network for inappropriate images. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off a state task force, which alerted the Passaic County Sheriff's Office.

The office investigated and discovered the Clifton resident had posted the "very explicit" photos of herself, sheriff's spokesman Bill Maer said Thursday."

There are people who say she doesn't deserve legal trouble, she needs help! I say she needs both! A very good look needs to be taken at this case! I am saddened at the way these young girls are so flippant about sex and nudity! Like being a stripper is a GOOD career move! That commercial about the girl posting pics and the creepy men acknowledging her, means nothing! It scares the shyt out of me! Where is the fear? The fear is gone because there are no more consequences! Start punishing for this ish and perhaps people will think twice! DAMN! This girl will have to register as a sex offender! She will be watched, forever! Let this be a lesson! These girls need a wake up call!!!

Police Being Police!

This is probably my worst fear! Picture this: An NFL player, Ryan Moats, was rushing his wife to the hospital after a call about her mother. The family is told she is dying! Ryan is driving a tad bit fast but, he makes it to the hospital. In the emergency room parking lot, an overzealous police officer stops the car. When the officer is told of the dire situation, he detains the family for 15 minutes! He even threatens to arrest anyone who leaves the car! During the detainment, the mother-in-law dies! WTF? I have seen pregnant women escorted to a hospital by police! This is absurd!!! Read what the chief of police has to say:
"As a storm of outrage gathered over his department, Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle called a news conference Thursday to apologize for the behavior of an officer who detained a distressed family outside a hospital emergency room.Kunkle said Officer Robert Powell had been placed on paid administrative leave…… in connection with the incident last week, in which he stopped a family rushing to visit a dying mother, keeping them for 13 minutes to write a traffic ticket. The woman died before two of the family members were able to see her. “I am embarrassed and disappointed by the behavior of one of our police officers,” the chief told a packed audience of media outlets that included Inside Edition. “His behavior, in my opinion, did not exhibit the common sense, discretion, the compassion that we expect our officers to exhibit.” During the traffic stop, caught on the officer’s in-car camera
, Powell berated the driver, 26-year-old NFL running back Ryan Moats, and threatened him with arrest for running a traffic light."

I will keep this family in my prayers as well as the officer!

Nurses, Ya Gotta Love Them!

Kiss a nurse today! President Obama says he loves nurses! Especially, after his beloved Sasha took ill and nurses were their saviors! Obama discussed their harrowing experience during his unprecedented internet interview. Read on: "When Sasha – "our little precious pea" – was just three months old, she was hospitalized with life-threatening meningitis, Obama said at an unprecedented White House Internet town-hall meeting Thursday.

"Very dangerous," the President said, responding to a health-policy question from a nurse in the audience. "The doctors did a terrific job, but frankly it was the nurses that were there with us when she had to get a spinal tap, and all sorts of things that were just bringing me to tears."

The result: Sasha, now 7, got better, and Obama will always appreciate RNs.

"I'm biased toward nurses," he said. "I just like nurses."

Nurses are, truly, the unsung heroes! They deserve all the respect! Kudos

Call Me Crazy....

Lately, I've been really immersed in reality shows! My latest guilty pleasure was, "T.I.'s Road To Redemption." On the show, T.I. confronts teens that are on the wrong path and shows them the good and the bad. I like the show because he makes so much sense. He talks to the youngsters like a big brother would. He offers them an "out." Sadly, this is a show that will end Friday. You see, T.I. will turn himself in to start serving a year and a day, sentence. This stems from his arrest, last year, with machine guns and marijuana. Aside from the show, T.I. has been performing countless community service hours. I hate to see him go to jail but, he has to pay the consequences. I pray that upon his release he will lead a better life. Until then, I am happy to have watched the show and I give kudos to T.I.!

Regretfully, I Report This.....

I hate to see anyone lose their home! I, especially, hate when a person is not given a second chance after apologizing. With that said, it is with much regret that I report that Isiah Washington may be evicted from his Venice, California home. According to People.com, "Isaiah Washington may be getting kicked to the curb. The actor and his wife, Jenisa, are allegedly $100,000 behind on rent for their Los Angeles home and may be facing eviction, according to court documents filed Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif.

The posh home sits amid the picturesque canals near Venice Beach. Around April 2008, the former Grey's Anatomy star, 45, allegedly agreed in writing to pay $20,000 monthly in rent, with an option to buy the home, but then neglected to pay for the past five months, the documents say.

On March 19, a notice was posted on the property informing the Washingtons they had three days to pay up or move out. It's unclear whether or not they vacated the premises.

The owner of the home, Sandalwood Properties Inc., is seeking $100,000 back rent, plus attorneys fees and a cancellation of the rental agreement.

Calls to the actor's rep and a lawyer for the property weren't immediately returned

This is all because of his argument during his employment on "Grey's Anatomy." I will keep him and his family in my prayers. Note to Isiah: The powers that be, are angry with you! Keep your mouth closed!

From Bad To Worse!

Not only did Lisa Raye Misick file for divorce from her hubby, the Prime Minister of Turks and Caicos but, he has lost his position! "Hours after embattled premier of the Turks and Caicos, Michael Misick stepped down, he was yesterday replaced by businessman Oliver Galmo Williams, a member of his organisation, the Progressive National Party (PNP)."

I guess he won't be flaunting Rocsi, (106 & Park) around the islands anymore! LOL

Sister Sister!

Tia and Tamera Mowry showed up at the Sunset Hotel for "TV's Sexiest Stars 2009." I am so happy that these young ladies have grown into such lovely and well-adjusted women. Kudos to their parents and whomever kept them grounded!

Wasted Talent!

A Novi, MI judge has sentenced, former Detroit Lion, Charles Rogers to 30 days in the Oakland County jail for probation violation. Rogers tested positive for alcohol and falsified records showing that he attended AA meetings. The probation stems from charges that he assaulted his fiancee and trespassing. "Rogers was the NFL's second overall pick in 2003. The Lions signed him to a six-year, $55 million deal, but injuries sidelined him most of his first two seasons. He was cut in 2006." Such a sad outcome from someone with such potential. Rogers was a stand-out at Michigan State University. He will serve 15 days.

Rest In Peace......

Uriel Jones, a member of the famed "Funk Brothers, passed away at the age of 74. According to The Free Press:
"Jones was a member of the loose-knit group of musicians known as the Funk Brothers, a revolving group of players who performed the backing tracks on Motown tunes recorded at the famed studio on West Grand Boulevard in Detroit.


The Funk Brothers were largely unknown to the record-buying public at the time, and generally went uncredited on Motown’s releases. The members didn’t receive their first wide recognition until 2002, when a documentary film about the players, “Standing in the Shadows of Motown” was released to critical acclaim, including two Grammy awards."

The music world will miss him and thank him for his contribution to the world of music! May he rest in peace..........

Rumor has it designer Rachel Roy has filed for a divorce from her hubby, Dame Dash. She joins a long list of folks taking Dame to court. "Dash, who in 2005 sold his stake in Rocawear to Jay-Z for $20 million, owes $2 million in state taxes, and a bank has started foreclosure proceedings on his two Tribeca condos.

A Manhattan judge even ordered the city to seize his luxury Chevrolet Tahoe SUV
last year when he couldn’t make the $714.99 monthly payment. He’s also being sued by law firms and landlords for not paying his bills.The fall has been a spectacular one for Dash, who sipped Champagne on a yacht in Jay-Z’s video for “Big Pimpin’” - then emptied his bottle of bubbly onto bikini-clad beauties in a hot tub. “He’s broke, he’s got nothing left,” a source said.

Dash debuted last year as a theater producer with the “Hip-Hop Monologues,” an Off-Broadway account of the life of his latest protégé, rapper Jim Jones. The production is set to resume performances tonight at 37 Arts in Manhattan.While he may have been short on cash, Dash wasn’t short on confidence when he hyped the show in New York magazine and vowed to make a splashy return to the music business. “And when I come back, I’m gonna change the economy as well,” he said."

Aretha Franklin celebrated her 67th birthday in Detroit at Seldom Blues. Someone made a cake with a replica of her famous inauguration hat! Cute! Aretha is still slimming down and she looked great! What Is He Trying To Say?

I have stared at this magazine cover for 3 hours and I am lost! What exactly would be the reason he would powder his face and use blue contacts? I love Kanyeezy but, I'm stumped! Note to Yeezy: Look here Boo-Boo, I had ya back! Now you just being awnry! Yeah, I said awnry (pronounced on-ree)! Don't act like ya'll never used the word!

I am calling this the "Bad A$$ Boots" section because Mary J. is killing me with those boots! The color is unique and the style is my fave! I hate the C.M.F.M. boots! I love a sensible heel, like these! My birthday is coming soon..... I'm just sayin......

I'm So Proud Of Him!

Rapper Trick-Daddy has announced that he is living with Lupus (an autoimmune disease). During a radio interview Trick said, “I went to the doctor, like, 12 years ago. She took all kinds of tests, because I was trying to get rid of what we call dry skin; she did biopsies and blood tests and swab tests. She told me I have lupus.” The diagnosis has kept Trick Daddy out of the sun ever since: “I am allergic highly to the sun, that’s my worst enemy. It’s like an AK-47 (gun) with a double clip on it.” But the rapper is determined not to let the incurable condition affect his daily routine. He adds, “A lot of people try to cover it up with regular make-up. It makes your skin pigmented. You can go from dark to light and not light to dark. You have to cover it up and conceal it.” But he isn’t one to complain: “My mama had 11 children from 10 different men. If she can live with that, I know I can live with this.”

Okay, that last part wasn't necessary but, I give him kudos for talking about Lupus!

Be On The Lookout....

Singer Monica Arnold (Just One Of Them Days..) is stepping into the large arena of reality stars. Monica will debut her reality show, titled "Still Standing" in mid-September on BET. Don't expect it to be the same old drama! Monica will focus on helping women. She is currently trying to get clearance to take a camera crew into a women's prison. Good luck with that! People talked about Demi Moore marrying Ashton Kutcher and their, obvious, age difference. I assumed he was mature for his age. I guess I was wrong.
