Just A Facelift!

Perhaps you've noticed the new color! What about the new format? Yeah, I wanted to "spruce" things up a little! I hope you like it! I wanted something a tad bit brighter! I love spring and summer! Bring It On!

Note To Lady Di: The purple is for you girl! I know how you love it! Be Blessed!

Louis Vuitton Is Slumming!

Considering their purses cost a condo with 2 baths, why would anyone wear these ugly shoes designed by Kanye West? His style is hideous, at best. I wouldn't want a man that dressed like him. I wouldn't want a man in bright red shoes, either! I told you how much I hate clowns! LOL

Note to Kanye: I love ya but, this has gone too far!

The Hat Seen Around The World.....

Being a native Detroiter, I grew up on Aretha Franklin. I even cut an album in her father's church! It was a long time ago, don't try to google it! Anyhoo, I have had 2 run-ins with the Queen of Soul. Both left me thinking she is not very nice. Just when I think this she turns around and does something impeccably nice. "According to her spokeswoman, Gwendolyn Quinn, says Franklin gave Obama a collection of 17 sermons by her late father, prominent Detroit minister the Rev. C.L. Franklin.

Quinn says the 66-year-old singer also gave Obama a biography of her father and a Bible "engraved with a personal message."

Franklin gave first lady Michelle Obama a gold brooch with diamonds. Franklin's 15-year-old grandson, Jordan Franklin, gave Obama daughters Malia and Sasha a collection of gospel/Christian hip-hop music."

Say what ya want about the hat, girlfriend looked fierce! If you don't like it you don't understand the culture! Women wear these hats to Sunday Service all the time! Hasn't you view of the choir been blocked by these hats? If not, you don't know what you're missing!

An Open Letter.....

It was brought to my attention, from allhiphop.com, that many people are angry because Denzel Washington didn't wave at them during the inauguration. Can you imagine? As if, there aren't other things to get fired up about! How about unequal education, health insurance woes or violence everywhere we turn! Anyhoo, I wrote a letter that I hope clears the situation. I am posting it below. Enjoy!

Dearest Illseed,

I wanted to address the angry people that thought Denzel was "dissing" them. From my understanding, people in the dais and people on the stage were told not to make waving gestures and sudden gestures because the secret service was on high alert! The people in the parade were told to keep their heads straight and no waving. The secret service was already watching millions of people, they didn't need to watch fans of Denzel! Please pass this along! I hope this answers questions. Please continue to support Denzel, he is a very philanthropic person. Especially, where African American causes are concerned!

What A Blessing!

Take this with a grain of salt but, The National Enquirer is saying that Natalie Cole's sister, Timolin,47, will give her a kidney. Allegedly, Timolin was secretly tested and is a match. Natalie is still too weak for the surgery but, doctors are rebuilding her strength. If this is true, congratulations to Natalie and God bless Timolin for her selflessness.

This Is Funny!

Did you know President Obama can dance just like Beyonce? Watch this spoof of a look-a-like doing the "Single Ladies" dance! Too funny!

Go Mariah!

Mariah Carey sang "Hero" at the Neighborhood Ball! She looked fabulous doing it! I thought she looked extremely classy on this night! Kudos! Kudos to all of the stars, black and white, who showed up and supported the Obamas.

WTF?

Donovan McNabb's house vandalized by Arizona Cardinal fans! I would still be pulling my feet out of their asses! Read on:

"Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb recently had to play defense at his offseason home in Chandler.

Two Arizona Cardinals fans hung their team's flag in a tree and burned "Go Cards," "Go Kurt" and "I heart AZ" in McNabb's yard with diesel fuel, Chandler police Sgt. Joe Favazzo said Tuesday.

The Arizona Cardinals defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 32-25 in the NFC Championship Game.
Favazzo said the fans hung the flag Thursday, and McNabb laughed it off and even left it hanging.

Then the fans returned Saturday and left a cardboard box in the driveway with "Go Cards" written on one side and "Beat Philly" on the other. McNabb laughed that off, too, when he discovered it at about midnight, Favazzo said.

But McNabb stopped laughing when he went outside Saturday morning, smelled diesel fuel and realized someone had burned Cardinals cheers into his lawn, causing about $2,000 in damage.

Favazzo said officers found an address label on the box that had been left, and it led to Chandler resident Rex Perkins, 37, who later admitted to the pranks.

His co-worker, Ryan Hanlon, 28, also admitted to the pranks.

Perkins and Hanlon were fingerprinted, photographed and cited for misdemeanor criminal damage.

"When they decided to get diesel fuel out and start damaging the yard, they crossed the line," Favazzo said.

The Cardinals beat the Eagles on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game to advance to the Feb. 1 Super Bowl in Tampa, FL."

How idiotic! To leave your address on the box! OMG!

Here She Comes.....

In case you wanted to know, First-Lady Michelle Obama wore an original from a Taiwan-born designer named Jason Wu. A white chiffon, one shoulder flowing gown. She looked beautiful but, I would have put her hair up. Kudos! Here is a video of their first dance. Enjoy!

Why I Hate Cartoons!

I hate cartoons because the people behind them are fake! Just like I hate clowns because they smile with their mouth and not their eyes! Check out Aaron McGruder and his ignorant comments:

“The Boondocks,” comic strip and animated series creator Aaron McGruder entertained, intrigued and outraged his audience at Earlham College on Monday night.

Appearing at the college for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, McGruder answered questions posed by the audience and by associate professor James Logan. Mixing political opinion and satire is hard to do in comics and cartoons, he said. “It’s not having a statement, it’s entertaining people so they listen.”

On the eve of President Barack Obama’s inauguration, McGruder is “cautiously pessimistic” about the presidency. “I don’t think you’re going to see any dramatic change from Barack Obama,” said McGruder, who wore a “Boondocks” T-shirt over a black long-sleeve shirt and jeans. “I’m hoping he proves me completely wrong.”

McGruder bases his opinions of the U.S. presidency on the 2000 election and how nothing has been done since then to change the election system. “It was a sham then … It’s got to still be a sham,” McGruder said. “I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but it’s what I tend to do.”

On the topic of race and ethnicity, McGruder said that to him, Obama is not black because he is not a descendant of a slave. “The person who is one of us in the White House is Michelle Obama and her momma,” McGruder said.

His comments outraged Dionne Robinson, 44, of Richmond. “I want my $5 back,” she said. “It’s one thing to have an opinion, but he doesn’t have any facts. He needs to go back to college.”

Educated and still stupid! Imagine that!

This is Fantasia at the Hip-Hop Caucus, last night in D.C. Disregard the sweaty pits and the Dolly Parton fingernails, when did she lose this much weight? Spanx can't hold you in that much! Look at her neck! She is on the Whitney Houston diet or something!

Just A Little Levity...

I saw this video and I laughed until I cried! This is a dumb cop! Be prepared to crack up laughing!

Dumb ass cop

1-5 Million People!

I am sitting and watching everything on CNN! As I look over the sea of people, many of whom came from far and wide, I am awestruck and extremely proud to be an American! Where else can something like this happen? I am proud of the people assembling to see the swearing in and I am proud of the Obamas being such a poised and classy family. When the Bushes met the Obamas at the door of the White House, I almost cried when I saw that Michelle Obama had a gift for the Bushes. In a time like this, she remembered her manners! The reporters were taken aback! You heard them saying, "She has a gift! I've never seen anything like it!" My family made the trek to D.C. and I am praying for their warmth and safety. Today! Today, is a GOOD day!

D.C. Bound!!!!!!

My son and my mother are D.C. bound! I would love to go but, I have obligations. I hope they party and ring in the new Prez, in style. To all the D.C. bound constituents: Have a wonderful and safe time in the capitol. Don't overdo it! Drink moderately and be respectful.
