It's Our Anniversary.....

This has been the fastest year on record! Nick and Mariah celebrated their anniversary by toasting a drink with a bunch of club-goers, in Vegas. The couple also made remarks about each other. "This is the most amazing person in the world," Cannon said into the microphone about his wife. "I dedicate my life to her daily, and together this union is gonna last forever. She is my rock."

Carey replied: "I have the best man in the whole wide world."

How cute! Mariah cried as they celebrated!

Rapping Royalty No More......

Kelis has filed for divorce from her husband Nas. This has taken everybody by surprise! The most shocking thing is the fact that she is 7 months pregnant! The papers have been filed but, it's not too late to rescind them. Hopefully, this is just a pregnant moment!

Update!!!!!

DMX has said that he will NOT appear on Celebrity Rehab. I reported the other day that he would be on the next season. DMX has also said that he will not be released from jail on his due date. He had a little run-in with a guard and that has tacked on a little more time. Perhaps, that is why he will not be on the show.....

Finally!

I read people.com and saw the new list of "Most Beautiful People." I was pleasantly surprised to see First Lady Michelle Obama on the list! There was still an absence of many African Americans but, I am happy they included Mrs. Obama. Others who made the list and made me smile were Tristan Wilds(many of you may remember him as Michael on "The Wire), singer Ciara and the incomparable, Halle Berry. Kudos to these beautiful people for their inner and outer beauty.

Chris Brown's Case May Be Gone!

Thanks to TMZ, the case against Chris Brown may be dismissed. Mark Geragos, Brown's attorney, told the court that because of the leaked photo there the case should be dismissed. The photo, allegedly, corrupted any jury pool. There is an investigation into how TMZ got the photo. If the LAPD leaked that photo, there will be grounds for a dismissal. Funny, TMZ said they leaked the photo to show that domestic violence did occur but, they may have help an offender escape jail. Idiots! Does it sound like I dilike TMZ? GOOD!

What A Waste!

Former NBA player, Jayson Williams, has been involuntarily committed into a mental health facility in NYC. Apparently, Williams took an entire bottle of aspirin and drank a bottle of alcohol and acted a fool. The patrons at the hotel called the police and complained about his behavior. Jayson had to be tased to get him into the car. I am going to keep this brother in my prayers. He has been through alot, lately. His wife is divorcing him and he just settled the lawsuit surrounding the death of his chauffeur.

More Money Woes!!!!

California is calling in it's marker! They are going after everybody who owes a nickel in taxes! First, Dionne Warwick and Sinbad. Then Xzibit was called out and now, Snoop Dogg! The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus, owes $284, 053.59 in taxes. He is looking at prosecution if he doesn't pay up! The recession is real people. It's real and it is coming for everybody! Pay Up!

Note To Snoop: Lay down the sticky-icky-icky and pick up the checkbook!

I'd Be Suing!

Recently, reports have surfaced that rapper, Xzibit, is having money troubles. First there was the report of him owing money in back taxes, now there is a report that he is more than $21,000 behind in his mortgage. They claim a foreclosure is imminent. A little bird has told me that he has spoken about the situation but, I am not privy to what he has said. Well, if a blog or publication has put this out about me and it wasn't true, I'd be suing! So, until I hear about a lawsuit, I will assume his money issues are true. There is nothing wrong with it, many of us are going through the same thing. We are just fortunate enough to not have to go through it in the press. The price of fame.....

Wanda On The Come Back!

Remember, "I'm ret-ta-go!" Perhaps you remember her face. Jamie Fox has said that he has been asked about making a movie using his character from "In Living Color." The character will be Wanda and she will be on a mission to find a man! Personally, I think the character has been gone too long but, I like Jamie Foxx and I wish him well. It might be funnier than these other stupid movies! Crap about pimps and gangsters, have monopolized the theater. Save us from it all, Jamie!

DMX Fights His Demons!

DMX will document his rehab stint. He will be on the new season of "Celebrity Rehab." He will fight his demons on television and everyone will see what cocaine did to him and his career. Personally, I am happy he is getting help. I think that DMX is a true gem when it comes to hip-hop! How many people are still singing, "Ya'll gon make me lose my mind, up in here, up in here!" Bring back the lucid and sober DMX, I'll be watching!
