For My Sister!!!!

Over the Fourth of July, Venus and Serena, again, made history! They were playing each other in the finals of Wimbledon. I, unfortunately, was out of town and didn't watch the match. Upon my return, I totally forgot to mention the outcome! My sister brought it to my attention and I am ever so grateful! Well, here it goes....... Venus beat Serena and won Wimbledon. Are you happy now Mel? We are happy about the total blackout in Wimbledon! Go Williams!!!!

Stop pretending to be doing something for a cause! I think Naomi donated money to the cause but, not time! She is pictured planting a tree in the Botanical Garden in Abuja, Nigeria, on Friday. Yet, she is wearing all white!! Who is she fooling! I still thank her for the money! Next time, wear something less obvious!

I had to post these pics of Usher and Cinco from Essence Magazine. How cute can one baby be? Usher addressed the fact that his father wasn't in his life. I think his father did him a favor by staying away! He wasn't living right and he didn't want to be a bad influence. I respect that! If you can't lead your children in a positive direction, stay away! You do more harm than good!

The Game is such a tackhead! He had a fight at his cousins funeral, last weekend! Read on:
"Rapper The Game is at the center of a police investigation after a fist fight broke out at his cousin’s funeral last weekend. According to reports, the L.A.-based MC angered family members by not contributing financially to the funeral as he’d promised.
Robert ‘Kirky’ Kirkwood tells website TMZ.com that when his sister died, The Game - real name Jayceon Taylor - volunteered to pay half the cost of the burial, which amounted to $7,000. Reports say the rapper attended Saturday’s ceremony unexpectedly and spoke at the service about family values.
The impromptu speech was apparently ill-received, as it prompted a scuffle between Taylor and Kirkwood outside the church. The relative later filed a police report, accusing The Game of punching him in the face. Authorities have confirmed there was an altercation and that it came about over financial matters."

This is ridiculous! Why wouldn't people have insurance? He shouldn't be expected to pay for the funeral. Then, again, he shouldn't have volunteered to pay half, and didn't!

Poor Michael Vick just can't catch a break! Read this:
"Imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick is seeking bankruptcy protection, saying he owes between $10 million and $50 million to creditors.
Vick filed Chapter 11 papers in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newport News on Monday. The seven largest creditors listed in the court papers are owed a total of about $12.8 million. Vick is serving a 23-month prison sentence at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas, after pleading guilty last year to bankrolling a dogfighting ring. He was subsequently suspended indefinitely without pay and lost all his major sponsors, including Nike. He also faces state charges related to dogfighting. According to the filing, the debt includes a $3.75 million prorated signing bonus the Atlanta Falcons are seeking to recover."

I had so much fun this weekend! I was at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, OH. I thought my son and cousin would enjoy Cedar Point but, they refused to leave the resort!
