Madame Tussaud has really outdone herself! This statue of Tyra Banks looks very real. You know what I like about it? It's not talking loud and imitating Oprah! Kudos!

Great Movies!

I have two movies to tell you about! The first was "Vantage Point!" The previews for this movie started last year but, it was released straight to DVD. I loved it! It was about a plot to kill/kidnap the president of the United States. It was shown from different vantage points (hence the name). It's funny how things look different from different angles! It starred Dennis Quaid, Forest Whitaker, Matthew Fox, Sigourney Weaver and William Hurt. It was so exciting! You'll love it! The second movie is "Hancock!" I saw it today and I loved it! It was about a misunderstood superhero. He tried to help but his help was too much! I laughed, I cried and I rooted for Hancock! The movie starred Will Smit, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman. There was a cameo by Mike Epps. You'll love it! There is foul language but, no more than your kids hear at home. Go check it out!

Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince?

Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith reunited at the premiere for "Hancock", last night. They did a show complete with "Gettin Jiggy with it" and "Parents just don't understand!" The crowd went wild! Tyrese Gibson jumped on stage and danced and got "jiggy".

Will Smith and his entire family walked the red carpet, last night! That Tre is looking mighty nice! "No pedo!" Queen Latifah, Lisa Raye and Tia Mowry, showed support! Kudos to black folks showing each other love!

Blasts From The Pasts!

Recluse, Sinbad, showed up for the Hancock premiere! Haven't seen that brotha in many moons. Tatyana A. Ali came out to support Will Smith. Vanessa Williams (the other one) came out to support the movie, also. Black folks represented!

L.A. Film Festival

Don Cheadle and Taraji P. Henson showed support at the film festival. Spike Lee took time off from his feud with Clint Eastwood to show up. Loretta Devine came out in her Sunday best! Spike needs to lighten up! Seriously!

Bye Bye Eddie!

Eddie Murphy is considering retiring from the movie business! Thank God!!! He said:

"Eddie Murphy is dishing about leaving the movie business for good after the release of his latest film. “I have close to fifty movies and it’s like, why am I in the movies?” he said, adding, “I’ve done that part now. I’ll go back to the stage and do standup.”
Murphy, 47, said that while a “Beverly Hills Cop 4″ flick was in the works, he didn’t want to do it, because “the movie wasn’t ready to be done.” Murphy said he agreed to do “Cop 3″ because of the large fee he was offered. “They said this is how much we’re going to pay you. I said, ‘let’s go shoot it! I don’t care if the script ain’t right.” As for Eddie’s love life, the new bachelor [said] he is currently looking for a woman with “just honesty and some other things. I would really like to just lay in the arms of Johnny Gill in sweaty bliss!” Okay, that last line isn't true! Funny, but not true! I don't know about you but, I ain't ready to see him in tight ass leather pants again!

The Rise And Fall Of A Love Affair!

Ghetto love, isn't it grand? Mos Def is a mild mannered man, or so it seems. His estranged wife, Alana Wyatt, is penning a tell-all book. She is talking about the rise and fall of their love. Read on:

"He had asked me if I would attend a MuchMusic performance featuring Kanye West. Now, that was a little awkward because a year prior I had met Kanye in Vegas and we had a moment! NOT SEXUAL! I REPEAT, KANYE WEST and I NEVER have had sexual relations,” she emphasises in the book. She adds: “Much to my surprise, Mos introduced me as his wife.” The next day, August 17, 2005, the pair were married at Toronto City Hall. In the wedding photos included in the book they look happy and sober. “There were stories that we may have been on drugs when we go married…..it was true honest love at first sight.”
And the decline:
Within six weeks, the couple had attended Fashion Week in New York, the MTV Video Music Awards in Miami, purchased a $850,000 house in Caledon — and separated.
She said she filed for divorce in October following what she claimed was a loud argument that got out of control. “I don’t believe that his intent was to hurt me, I believe that he was trying to prove a point,” she said. “But I had shared and cried with him many nights about my past (abusive) situation and I asked of him not to do that [abuse her]. Wyatt-Smith said she didn’t press charges because she didn’t “want to cause problems” in the hopes that his outburst was “a first and last.”
She said there were several attempts at reconciliation, but that Mos Def, who has six children with four different women, has a demanding though not abusive demeanor that she found difficult to abide. They have not been together since October 2006, but despite a $115,000 financial settlement are not officially divorced. “He won’t sign the papers,” she said. “He told my lawyer if he can’t have me, nobody else will.”

Who would have thought that Mos Def would behave that way? I guess the image of him from Alicia Key's music video is fake! Tsk! Tsk!

Lord DMX is falling down a slippery slope! Somebody help him! Where is his wife? His friends?

"For the second time this week, Rapper DMX has been arrested in Miami.
The 37-year-old, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested Friday on charges of attempting to purchase cocaine and attempting to purchase marijuana, according to a Miami-Dade Police Department arrest report.
Simmons was arrested during a narcotics sting operation, according to the report. His bail was set at $6,000, online jail records show.DMX has recently had a string of run-ins with the law. He was picked up Monday afternoon in Miami on an arrest warrant for having no valid driver’s license, and he pleaded not guilty to felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges last month in Arizona.
A call to an attorney who previously represented DMX was not immediately returned."

Beyonce listened intently while her hubby did his thang! Jay-Z was one of the headliners at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England. I guess she wore a hat for a disguise. She still looks different to me. I can't quite put my finger on it!
