J-Lo has to testify in the $100 million dollar lawsuit against P. Diddy. You remember the shooting in the nightclub that resulted in rapper Shyne being jailed? Well, the recipient(s) of the bullets has filed suit. Read on :

"Jennifer Lopez has been subpoenaed to testify in a lawsuit filed against hip-hop mogul Sean Combs over his involvement in a 1999 New York club shooting. The Latina was dating Combs at the time of the incident, and was present at the now-defunct Club New York when shots were fired in the venue on 27 December 1999, injuring two people.Combs’ rap protege Shyne, real name Jamal Barrow, is currently serving a 10-year jail term after he was found guilty of assault, reckless endangerment and gun possession in the trial following the shooting. The rap heavyweight was arrested for various charges including weapons violations, but was acquitted of all counts.
However, both Combs and Shyne are currently fighting a $130 million (GBP65 million) civil suit filed by victim Natania Reuben, who was shot in the face during the incident.Combs completed his deposition in the case in March (08), but now Lopez must reveal all she knows at an upcoming deposition after being served by Reuben’s lawyers last week (ends20Jun08). She was not called as a witness in the 2001 criminal trial and split from Combs shortly afterwards."

Dr. Jan Adams dodged a bullet with the Donda West thing. He, unfortunately, couldn't dodge the highway patrol. Read on:

Adams, of Laguna Beach, was taken to Solano County Jail to await arraignment Monday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08% or higher and driving with a suspended license.”

This is not his first DUI! He is spiraling down! He also lost his medical license for failure to pay child support. That, alone, puts him on my shyt list!

Nelson Mandela's birthday party brought out all the celebs Denzel, Oprah, Will and Jada and Robert Deniro and his wife Grace Hightower. Noticeably absent was Naomi Campbell. Here is the reason:

All in all I enjoyed the show! If you missed it you know BET will be playing it over and over again! They kept showing poor Rhianna and C. Breezy! Can't they have a private relationship? Dang!

I must say that since the death of Donda West, Kanye has been on his best behavior! I was so proud of him winning and acknowledging Weezy and others. He also dumped that gold-digger Alexis! (Yes I said it!) Perhaps he finally learned that it's not ALWAYS all about him! I love ya Kanye!

Concert Or Award Show?

I couldn't tell if the show was a concert or an award show! So many performances I couldn't keep up! I had to show you Nelly! His guns were on POINT! Here he is with Fergie! My favorite performance was Alicia Keys! She brought back all the girl groups! SWV, TLC and EnVogue! They looked great! That was a selfless performance! Kudos to A. Keys! I also enjoyed Jill Scott's homage to Al "Grits" Green. LOL Maxwell came out and sang an Al Green song, and I didn't know who that old looking man was! He still sounds good though! Chris Brown came out with Ciara and tore the house down! Just some of my fave performances!

Let's start with the opening performance by Usher. It was good but, I feel he was trying to hard to beat Chris Brown with a dance performance. I hate it when a performer tries to dance so hard they can't sing! I don't want to see a person lip sync! Usher is too old to try to keep up with the youngins! Tsk Tsk!
