T-Pain Arrested!

Yes, I'm late! I was under the weather yesterday and couldn't blog. Anyhoo, T-Pain (Faheem Najm) was arrested for outstanding warrants and a non-moving violation and driving with a suspended license. Shouldn't he have cleared that shit up before he signed a recording contract? How can you go on tour and overseas with something like that looming over your head? Anyhoo, he's out on bond right now and scheduled to appear at FAMU today!

Diva Jones?

A non-profit group from Detroit called "Full and Fabulous" is pissed off with Star Jones. Apparently, the group wanted Star Jones to speak at an event. She asked for $30,000 and two first-class airline tickets and 3-day room in a 5-star hotel. The group washed cars, sold dinners and gave parties to raise the funds. They sent the money and Star never showed. Star and her people sent this statement, “It is unfortunate that Mr. Wilson and this for-profit Expo has chosen to so gravely distort the facts surrounding this speaking engagement for their benefit. Ms. Jones’ lecture agency William Morris was contacted on April 18, 2005 to have her speak at an Expo on February 4, 2006 for $25,000. Per the accepted terms of the deal a deposit was to be issued by the organizers on July 4, 2005 with the balance being submitted 48 hours prior to the scheduled travel date.” What they failed to mention is that she used the airline tickets and the hotel accomodations. Star took the money and partied at Superbowl festivities. Why any organization (with a name like "Full And Fabulous") would want to see her, is ludicrous to me. These women are about exercise, and Star is about cut and paste! She needs to send an apology and their money back! I just want to hear Beth scream her favorite line, "Your son is taking money out of my kids mouth!" Yes, she says that about everybody. A&E issued this statement yesterday, “In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take Dog The Bounty Hunter' off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future. We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.” Yes, healing indeed! I also found out that Duane Chapman's son is the person who sold the tape. He sold the tape for $15,000. Pretty cheap for betrayal. He also sold a story to the Enquirer about 6 months ago, about his father's disappearing tricks! Damn!

Yo Ho Ho And A Bottle Of Rum!

DaBrat (Shawtae Harris),33, was arrested last night at Studio 72 in Atlanta,GA. Aggravated Assault is the charge. Apparently, DaBrat got into a shoving match with a waitress. When the shoving ended, DaBrat "allegedly" hit the waitress in the face with a bottle of Rum. The waitress had a laceration on her face and a swollen forehead and was transported to the hospital. DeKalb County police took DaBrat into custody. This is not the first run-in with the law DaBrat has had. In 2000, DaBrat pistol whipped a patron at a party. Her charges were downgraded to misdemeanor assault. Note to DaBrat: Listen Shawntae (I can call you Shawntae, can't I?) this woman had to receive treatment for the laceration on her face. I would bet my shoe collection that she will sue you. Can you afford that? Don't be a Dave Chapelle skit. You know, "When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong!" We get it! You go for badass! Let's not go for broke-ass! Okay?

I'm Praying For You Brother...

Many of you remember Will Downing as a wonderful Tenor who often sang alongside Rachelle Farrell. Well, Will has taken ill and could use your prayers. Will Released a statement that said,

As you may have heard, in January, I was diagnosed with Polymyositis (PM) an auto-immune disease which affects the muscles among other parts of the body. This disease basically took away my ability to function on my own using any of my own limbs or even the ability to walk.

At the time I was diagnosed, I was just beginning to work on the recording of my new CD, “After Tonight”. As a matter of fact, a lot of the vocals were cut from my wheelchair at home. However, one of my main reasons for getting up every day and pushing through this, was my heartfelt desire to use this recording as a source of faith, inspiration, and hope for so many people out there who are facing great obstacles in their lives.

All of the songs on “After Tonight” were chosen, written and recorded with great love and care.

In closing, I wanted to let all of the wonderful people who support me know that I am I am alive and well – getting better and stronger everyday and that I AM still here.

It is my deep faith in God and the love of my family and friends that is seeing me through this. No matter what ALL things are possible to those who believe.

Words Speak Volumes!

I am prepared to sit down and listen to Duane "Dog" Chapman's heartfelt apology, on one condition. That is that he not try to feed me the B.S. about being angry and speaking that way. I listened to the tape and what he said was, "We say nigger around here all the time and I don't want no nigger telling the Enquirer about it!" That doesn't sound like you are angry at your son! That is a person telling someone that they don't want to be heard saying the N-word! That they use the N-word all the time! Please come with the real! Apologies can be accepted and we can move on. When you send out "blanket" statements, you are not believable! "Blanket" statements are when you use the usual terms like, "anger" or "Stress" or "out of context" to explain your actions. Everyone is entitled to lose their temper but, as I said in my comments, at the end of the day your problem lies with that person and not his/her race.

What In The Dog Hell?

A&E has suspended production on The "Dog The Bounty Hunter" show. Apparently Duane "Dog" Chapman's son Tucker has a black girlfriend named Monique Shinnery. Duane tells him to dump her because he doesn't want her around when they use the word "nigger". He says she is a "nigger" and will tell the Enquirer that they use those words. Well, the conversation was taped. I heard it! I was in shock! He said things like,"I use the word nigger but I don't mean scumsucking piece of shit but, the world might think I do!" What the hell does that mean? He also tells Tucker to get rid of her because she's a nigger! I am sickened by his filthy mouth! I love reality shows but I will never watch him and his ill-shaped wife again! I can't believe those words came from the mouth of a former dope-fiend! TMZ.com says that Duane is now reaching out to Rev. Sharpton. Two words: F$#$ YOU!

Tell The Truth!

Karrine Steffans is dogging Bill Maher in a recent interview with Vibe magazine. Karrine says, "Bill wants someone he can put down in an argument, tell you how ghetto you are, how big your butt is, and that you're an idiot. That's why you never see him with a white girl or an intellectual. I might as well have been a Muslim woman with my head wrapped, walking 10 paces behind my man. [But] I couldn't be 'Bill Maher's girlfriend' any more - not when I'm Karrine Steffans . . . best-selling author." I find these remarks very suspect. The last time I heard an interview with her she was saying how much she loved him. I think Miss "Best selling author" says whatever will sell books! I would love to know the numbers on her new book. Somebody please pull this heffer back into obscurity!

A book being written by a friend of Madonnna's says that Madonna was trying to get knocked up by Tupac. The book says,"Madonna, in her mid-30s, “desperately wanted children and had various relationships with unlikely men.” The singer’s friend Alison Clarkson recalls when she was briefly dating Tupac Shakur, one year before his death.

“She was going out with him … but homegirls were saying to him, ‘I can’t believe you’re going out with a white girl,’” - so she got dumped! This sounds false! Why can't people write a book with substance and stop fabricating shit so it will sell?

Foxxy Brown and Koch Records are being accused of jacking a song. The song in question is called "Lights Out". A rapper named Jha Jha says she submitted the song to Koch VP Bob Perry and he gave it to Foxxy. She is suing and she will probably get every dime. I heard the song and dumbass didn't even change the hook! Note to Jha Jha: When you get to court with Foxxy, watch for flying Blackberry's!

"Sorry"

Gayle King and Oprah traveled twice to their girls school in South Africa investigating allegations of abuse. They have taken a hands-on approach to dealing with the allegations. As you know, girls have accused tachers and den mothers of physical and sexual abuse. Oprah went to the school and cleaned house! The principal and a few teachers were suspended (I'm sure indefinitely). Oprah, in a tearful speech, told the parents of the girls that she is "So sorry!" She went on to say that she failed them. Gayle said the situation is beyond heart-wrenching. I am so glad they didn't make a phone call! They went there and handled their business. Kudos for Oprah and Gayle!
