Fifty-Cent and his baby mama, Shaniqua Thomkins, were in court when the judge threw out a $50 million dollar lawsuit filed by Shaniqua!

"Manhattan State Supreme Court Justice Carol Edmead dismissed Shaniqua Tompkins' claims to half the rapper's assets. The judge said 50 Cent's financial worth is "set at no less than $50 million."

The judge said she doubted an oral agreement for Tompkins' lifetime support existed. "It is incredible that two then-unemployed, penniless, 21-year-olds would make such an oral contract," she wrote.

The judge said that even if it were true that the two made an oral agreement for Tompkins' lifetime support, her breach of contract claim, "which is actually a claim for palimony," was barred by the six-year statute of limitations.

She said the couple's story was "an unfortunate tale of a love relationship gone sour."

She also noted Tompkins will receive about $6,700 a month for years to come to take care of her son by 50 Cent, 12-year-old Marquise.

The rapper's lawyer, Brett Kimmel, said he was happy with Wednesday's ruling.

"Ms. Tompkins' claims pertaining to a $50 million verbal contract were entirely frivolous," Kimmel said. "This is a complete and total victory for 50."

A statement from 50 Cent said: "I'm very thankful for this decision. I knew that once the facts were heard that justice would prevail."

Tompkins' lawyer, Paul Catsandonis, said he will consider an appeal."

Girl, get a job! Stop trying to take people's riches! This is the reason SOME people have a problem paying child support! Raise your child and live your life! DAMN!

Fantasia is going back to school and getting her diploma! I am so proud of her! She is also shopping a reality show about her and finishing up her next CD! I am so happy that she is deciding to further her education! Kudos!

Backtracking!

Remember the ass whooping Etta James promised Beyonce? Well, she is backtracking and claiming she was just joking! "In a telephone interview with the NYDN, Etta said, "I didn't really mean anything. Even as a little child, I've always had that comedian kind of attitude. ... That's probably what went into it."

"Etta went on to say that she felt left out of the Inauguration and that she probably could have sang the song better than Beyonce. When asked about saying Obama has "big ears," she again said she it was all a joke and that she thinks he's handsome. Etta continued, "That might be horrible. The President might not ever like me in life."

Matthew Knowles must have given her the evil wonky eye! Seems someone wanted a little publicity! We haven't forgotten you Etta!

Crazy Or Diabolical? You Be The Judge!

Okay, NBC has scored the first interview with the little old lady in a shoe! Just kidding! Ann Curry interviewed the mother of the octuplets. Funny thing is she claims to have collected $165,000 from a settlement, after she was injured in a riot at a mental hospital, where she worked! I think she may have been in that mental hospital! During Katie Couric's interview with Lil Wayne, she asked him, "Isn't your name Dwayne?" Lil Wayne said yes. Katie, then asked, "Why did you drop the 'D'?" Lil Wayne's answer was so prolific! He said, "I dropped the 'D' because I am a junior and my father was never in my life!" Katie said, "Does he know that's why you dropped the 'D'?" and Lil Wayne said, "He does now!" I am quoting this because there are many absentee father out there! Don't come around when the child is doing well! Be there from the onset! Sad, this man has many accomplishments and his father was not there to help him. Get it together people! Your children are watching!

Vivica Keeps Working!

Vivica Foxx is always working! TVland will have Vivica Foxx host their new reality show called "Cougar." The eight-episode series centers on an older woman's search for love among a pool of younger bachelors. The show is scheduled to premiere April 15. As long as a sista is working, I'll watch! Congrats!

Recovering!

Charlie Wilson, lead singer of The Gap Band, is recovering from prostate cancer.

"WASHINGTON – He's best known as the lead vocalist for the Gap Band. Now Charlie Wilson is raising his voice to narrow the knowledge gap about prostate cancer.

Wilson, who was diagnosed last fall and treated with radiation implants, says he's in remission.

The singer wants to serve up a dose of knowledge along with the funk when he tours to support his new solo album, "Uncle Charlie," due out Feb. 17.

He's urging men, especially African-Americans, to get tested. Black men are at increased risk of prostate cancer overall.

It was during a routine physical last September that a blood test turned up signs of prostate cancer. A biopsy and follow-up examination confirmed the diagnosis.

When Wilson heard his doctor utter the word cancer, "I just felt devastated," he said."
I am happy to hear that he was diagnosed and treated, early! Note to ALL men: Get tested and take care of yourself! You can live with cancer but, you MUST be proactive!

New Baby!

Tisha Campbell-Martin and husband Dwayne Martin are expecting, again! Read Below:

"Tisha Campbell-Martin and her husband, Duane Martin, are expecting their second child together, Tisha’s former Martin co-star — and best friend — Tichina Arnold, confirms to Usmagazine.com.

“She just found out and is so excited!” adds Arnold.

Tisha, 40 — who is two months along — and Duane are already parents to a son, Xen, 8.

“She hopes to have a girl this time, and has said she would love to name her Derek,” Arnold adds. “She has been wanting a girl for almost six years. Everybody is so excited!”

A rep for Tisha — who wed Duane in August 1996 — also confirms the news to Us."

Update!

A few weeks ago I talked about Natalie Cole's sister possibly giving her a kidney. Well, that is not going to happen. Natalie Cole talked to people.com and had this to say about a new, possible, donor. "My son [Robert, 31] may be a possible [donor] match," She went on to say, "It's very sweet and kind of strange to have people offer something like that." Despite dialyzing three times a week, Natalie has continued to tour! Kudos to her! Keep moving!

Fightin Words!

Etta James has spoken! During a performance she talked about her feelings for Obama and Beyonce! She said, "The President with the big ears, he may be your President but he's not mine!" I didn't appreciate that comment but, I know where she is coming from. She is angry that Beyonce sang her song at the inauguration ball. She says, "She is gonna get her ass kicked!" She went on to say, "I can't stand Beyonce!" I couldn't understand why they had Beyonce sing the song when Etta James is still alive! Etta is pissed off and she don't care who knows! I can't wait to hear the response from Matthew Knowles. You know he is gonna put out a statement soon! Keep reading! I Hate It When......

This is a new category for me. I am going to randomly post about things that get under my skin, and you can feel free to do the same or elaborate on my petpeeve! Where shall I start? I hate it when I go to the bank drive-thru and there are two windows open and people form one line! I hate this because it doesn't necessarily mean the same thing everywhere! Case In Point: I went to Kroger, the other day, and I decided to checkout through the self-check isle. Well, when I got to the isle there were two rows of checkouts. People formed one line and waited patiently. I conformed and stood in the one line. When I was at the front of the line, some woman just walked up and went to the next available checkout. I could have went off and said, "The line starts behind me" but, who made that rule? If there are two rows there should be two lines! That's the way I think about it!

Trouble In Paradise!

Mediatakeout.com has a sizzling story about Lisa Raye and her soon-to-be- ex-husband, Turks and Caicos Prime Minister, Michael Misick. Apparently, he is on trial for misappropriating funds that belong to the island. Lisa Raye pulled no punches and told about his lavish gifts to her. Which included the $100,000 round trip visits to the island on private planes. Read the transcripts:

LisaRaye: I did find out that the white Phantom Rolls Royce that he bought me for, I think it was either Valentine's Day or my birthday, that he had leased it through my company, how I don't know, so now I am stuck with the liability, I think it is $6,900 a month that I have to pay for it.

Michael Misick’s Lawyer: “So you did sign the lease on that, then, is that right?”

LisaRaye: “What, did you not hear me? I said that if I did sign anything, I don't remember signing anything, I was so excited about getting it, I wanted to probably make sure that it was mine if at all that I did sign anything.”

Michael Misick’s Lawyer:“Mrs McCoy Misick, the Premier says that you knew it was leased all along and you signed the lease on it, is that fair?”

LisaRaye: “No, it is not fair. Not at all, sir.”.

Michael Misick’s Lawyer: “We also understood that he supported a lady in Florida who he has told the Commission is the mother of two of his children, a lady called Mildred Rivas. I think you were aware of that at the time?”

LisaRaye: “Well, I was aware of this a couple of months after I married the Premier of the first child. And then I was looking through paperwork at home and found the credit card and so I questioned that. I did not know about the second child."
"The second child was born a year after we were married …knowing that a second child was even around and came in the midst of our marriage, you can imagine it was quite upsetting.”

Damn! That Prime Minister was seriously, sinister! LOL
