A non-profit group from Detroit called "Full and Fabulous" is pissed off with Star Jones. Apparently, the group wanted Star Jones to speak at an event. She asked for $30,000 and two first-class airline tickets and 3-day room in a 5-star hotel. The group washed cars, sold dinners and gave parties to raise the funds. They sent the money and Star never showed. Star and her people sent this statement, “It is unfortunate that Mr. Wilson and this for-profit Expo has chosen to so gravely distort the facts surrounding this speaking engagement for their benefit. Ms. Jones’ lecture agency William Morris was contacted on April 18, 2005 to have her speak at an Expo on February 4, 2006 for $25,000. Per the accepted terms of the deal a deposit was to be issued by the organizers on July 4, 2005 with the balance being submitted 48 hours prior to the scheduled travel date.” What they failed to mention is that she used the airline tickets and the hotel accomodations. Star took the money and partied at Superbowl festivities. Why any organization (with a name like "Full And Fabulous") would want to see her, is ludicrous to me. These women are about exercise, and Star is about cut and paste! She needs to send an apology and their money back! Star's people's explanation didn't say whether or not she did what she's accused of doing and neither did the video clip. She obviously received the money. Why didn't she show up? What? No answer? Just, "Get out of my office"? Typical!
Isn't this what guilty people always do: either evade the question altogether or change the subject.
This woman is a trip! She certainly can't be hurting for cash. Does she really need to steal money from worthy organizations to fund her personal entertainment?
Note to Star: Maybe you and hubby Al need to get second or 3rd jobs if it's THAT tight. You passed the Bar exam, right? Hang up a shingle, take on some clients and give the people back their money!
The organization won a $20,000 judgement but have not been paid by Star, yet. She says she had a legal right to use the plane tickets and hotel. The group had to pay a deposit. If they could not raise the rest of the funds, then she was entitled to keep the deposit, not the airfare and hotel. Bottom line is Star Jones stiffed the organization.
Yes, she did stiff them. And you're right. Who would want to hear what Star Jones has to say? Is this organization on crack!?!
Now, let's think. What is a star? In physics, a star is made of gas which, in Miss Jones' case is very fitting. She is just a big bag of gas! You can tell this by what comes out of her mouth. I don't even want to think about what comes out of her other orifices!
Note to Full and Fabulous: If and when you finally get paid by Miss Jones, use the money to have your heads examined for asking that money-grubbing, lying, gastric bypass having gas bag to speak for you in the first place!
