NEVER!!!

This is a video of William Balfour's mother, Michelle. I can understand trying to ensure that your son gets fair treatment but, this is ridiculous! I have a son and I love him dearly but, I would never be caught on camera doing what she is doing! Because there may be the slightest chance that he is guilty! Then what? Listen to this mangled web she is weaving!

Well, here's what I have to say about Ms. Michelle Davis Balfour:

She is certainly a zealous advocate for her son. And if you're ever charged with a heinous crime, these are the kinds of things you'd want your mother to say. No one wants his own mother, when asked if she thinks he did it, to equivocate and say, "I don't think so...it doesn't sound like him, but I'm gonna wait for all the evidence to come out." You want you mama to scream, "H*ll no! He didn't do it!"

What would that say to people if his own mother has doubts about his innocence? Unfortunately for Mr. Balfour, juries rarely take a defendant's mother's protests of his innocence to heart.

But I had to laugh when she called activities of the girlfriend whom she thinks did the crime, "the diary of a mad black woman." lol

And she certainly doesn't mind putting his business about having 3 girlfriends out in the streets. I guess she figures, if it'll get him released, the end justifies.

But I thought she made some valid points. If the girlfriend pointed the finger at William to get her own drug case dropped, that's suspicious. It doesn't mean what she said isn't true, but it can make a juror go, "hmmm..."

See, I've probably watched too much "Law and Order."

BTW, I wonder how long it will take before this case shows up as one of the "Ripped from the headlines" stories on L&O. Synchonize your watches...now!

It has been done on L&O already, I'm sure! While I don't watch the show, this is not unfamiliar territory. I think that his mother can impose her own gag order! I would be working vehemently to get my son adequate counsel. She is trying the case on youtube! She had better sit down before she says the wrong thing. I heard something funny the other day! "Don't argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and win with experience!" LOL
