Say hello to the soon-to-be newest member of the Obama family. Michelle Obama confirmed that the family will get a Portuguese Water Dog, as a pet in April. The dog will come from a shelter and will be old enough to still play. My neighbor has a Portuguese Water Dog and he is huge! My son ran in the house swearing a big horse was after him! The dog just wanted to play! I hope the Obama's name the dog Harry/Harriett! LOL

I hadn't heard they'd made a decision. I'm happy for the Obama girls. They have waited a good long minute for that dog. I remember when I was a kid, you couldn't tell me I was going to get something then make me wait 4 month. I'd have bugged my mother to death! She'd be ready to change her mind!
But I don't think that mini-horse is going to fit into the doggie house that Ellen DeGeneres gave them. Remember the mini White House she presented Michelle with? How's that horse going to squeeze into it?
BTW, I think they should name the dog Abe since the president admires Abraham Lincoln so much.
That dog will need his own house! He is hypo-allergenic and the cutest dog, ever! The one on my block is so happy! He loves to come chasing my son and then he laughs! They are big as heck, though! Name him Jesse (as in Jackson, LOL)
NO, do not name that dog Jesse. I like 'Moose' better than 'Frank' which is what was reported on some TV show that I was cooking and could not actually see. Where those names came from?? CLUELESS!

Yes, I do recall the gift Ellen gave Michelle. And who knows, I bet those girls bugged both parents even after deep explanations from such inportant parents.

I've read his tweets but am not following. He's had some interesting things to say esp the duck they had at the Inaugural dinner right after the OFFICIAL (and later to be redone) swearing in ceremony. I started to follow him then but I said, nah... he tweets too much. (laughs)
