Call Me Crazy....
Lately, I've been really immersed in reality shows! My latest guilty pleasure was, "T.I.'s Road To Redemption." On the show, T.I. confronts teens that are on the wrong path and shows them the good and the bad. I like the show because he makes so much sense. He talks to the youngsters like a big brother would. He offers them an "out." Sadly, this is a show that will end Friday. You see, T.I. will turn himself in to start serving a year and a day, sentence. This stems from his arrest, last year, with machine guns and marijuana. Aside from the show, T.I. has been performing countless community service hours. I hate to see him go to jail but, he has to pay the consequences. I pray that upon his release he will lead a better life. Until then, I am happy to have watched the show and I give kudos to T.I.!

I am sorry but this type of show is publicity stunt stuff to me. Ask yourself why did he have to wait to go to jail to do this show????? Do a show like this PRIOR to getting into trouble if you from the "streets". That's my .02
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I say that anytime you can try and save a child, is okay with me. I realize that he waited until trouble was brewing but, after all, isn't that what community service is? If we waited to clean the freeways or work with community centers, it would never happen! Sometimes a person staring at jail, can scare the $hyt out of someone on the same path.
Ok, tell me what his background was PRIOR to becoming "famous". Then tell me about his music and maybe then I can understand where you are coming from.
Getting arrested for the things he did Tluv, sorry. It's about needing to fit in, play a "part". Too many black men are going to jail for the very thing they "rap" about. HELLO?? Flossing and bossing is not what kids need to see. I'm not seeing the bigger picture in what he did. No apologies. I respect your opinion no doubt.
While I don't condone the things he did, I understand. A few years ago he was in Cincinatti, doing a concert. After the concert they were on their way to the hotel when a couple of cars approached them and started shooting. Probably a robbery! Anyhoo, his assistant and good friend Philant Johnson (I think that was his last name), was shot and killed. After that, he felt like he needed to protect his family (he has 5 kids). While I am a simple mother and not a "star" it seems a little extreme but, I would do what I had to do to protect my son. Simply put, we will NEVER know how it feels to be so vulnerable.
True!!
T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr was officially sentenced on March 27th. Where he was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for buying illegal machine guns and silencers on October 13, 2007. He was also ordered to pay a $100,300 fine on weapons charges.
T.I. was also sentenced to some property forfeiture, supervised release for three years following his prison sentence, 365 days of home confinement (house arrest) and 1,500 hours of community service. So far Tip has completed 305 days of house arrest and 1,030 hours of community service. As well he must undergo DNA testing, drug counseling, cannot own firarms, must submit to resonable searches and financial audits.
T.I. originally faced up to 20 years in prison but performing community service as part of his plea agreement with prosecutors reduced his sentence dramatically.
As well he could get his current sentence of 1 year and 1 day even further reduced by 15% with good behavior.
U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell agreed to ask prison officials to have T.I. surrender in the coming weeks but not before May 19.
(TLuv - illegal machines guns and silencers?????????? I'm done - rolls -->)
