Kandi Burress is a singer/songwriter/and Real Housewives Of Atlanta newcomer. Although she is not married, she is (at least on the show) engaged to be married. Her fiance has 6 children and is not accepted by her mother. I understand that now the couple is no longer together and she has custody of two of his daughters! Kandi's explanation is: "The twin girls mother felt overwhelmed and gave custody to their father. Their father felt they needed a positive female role model and so Kandi stepped in." I must say that Kandi is a saint! How many people would take on their exes children? This is the very reason her mother was so against their union. Mother's always know best.
