According to Mediatakeout.com, Zachary Ty Bryan (formerly of Home Improvement fame) called a Negro League ballplayer the "N" word. Check this out:
"I was listening to a local Tampa sports radio station this morning and they have a mixed hosting crew...Ron Diaz and Ian Beckles (former Tampa Bay Bucs player). There was an old-timers or sports hall of fame event that they hosted honoring an old time player from the Negro Leagues. "Mud Cat" Grant who was a great Negro League player was telling a story about how it was to be a baseball player in the old Jim Crow days and apparently, your boy Zachary Ty Bryan from Home Improvement was there and he was liquored up. He stood up in the middle of the man's speech and yells out that he "doesn't want to hear any of that N*gger stuff". He was subdued by security and escorted out but he almost caught a beat down. So far there has been no comment from Bryan's camp or publicist."

This story is entirely false. I was at this event and Mudcat never even gave a speech. What mediatakeout.com left out of the story was that Mudcat called into the same radio station THAT DAY and dispelled the rumor. The radio station had no sources to cover the story (extremely irresponsible) and Mediatakeout is even more at fault for posting the story and leaving this part out. They also failed to mention the fact that Zachary Ty Bryan donated over $3000 to the local Children's hospital during the event.
