Toni Braxton is suing Barry Hankerson (Blackground Records) stating that he intentionally soured her relationship with Arista Records. Essentially she is saying that while Hankerson was her personal manager, he told Arista that Toni no longer wanted to work with them. He, allegedly, also told Toni that Arista no longer wished to work with her. This is said to have caused Toni to leave Arista and sign with Blackground Records. Toni says he cheated her out of at least $10 million dollars. Note to readers: Why do people sue when their money is almost gone? Don't wait until you have to do a Las Vegas Revue, to try and retrieve your money! If this person truly deceived you, surely you didn't wake up five minutes ago! I'm not saying Hankerson is innocent, I'm just saying watch your coins at all times!!! BTW Barry Hankerson is the ex-husband of Gladys Knight and the uncle of the late AAliyah!

Yeah, this sounds like a classic case of conflict of interest. How could Hankerson fairly represent the interests of Toni Braxton and Blackground records at the same time. If Toni didn't know he was playing both sides against the middle, she has a good case. No, I'm not a lawyer, the I've been watching "Law & Order" for the past 5 years.
